Ok, merging IE/Edge versions causes problems. I understood that.

But why, if I set it up like above, does the notification only show up once in IE? That means that the test for the browser version was positive and the notification should now always be displayed. But it does not. It appears only once.

Found it. The slider can only be activated on pages.

The “Twenty Fourteen Ephemera” widget don’t have any text input fields. It display a list of latest short news or pictures or other things.

[ssba_hide] in the short message text isn’t an option too. Then the share buttons are hidden in the widget and, if displayed in the page, below the short message too.
