On https://yyy.thesexiestsite.com/page/2/, I get this from page two onward

The requested URL was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

2. How to embed “Zillalikes” on the meta row (like Date comments etc)?
– I need to do this because first, the “Zillialike” 9or I also testing another one called “Applaud” simply do not appear there in no text/content on the post (compare post #1 to the rest).

3. Featured Image
– My post are mostly people – the only sensible aspect ration is either original (yours don’t work – yyy.thesexiestsite.com). So, I used 3:4 (https://xxx.thesexiestsite.com/) which is okay, but the single post featured still cut off?

Despite the above (please help in any way you can), I am still very impressed with your works — especially your GTMetrix score, which is almost unbelievably PERFECT score… Kudos!

Keep up with good work. It would be nice if you can make a framework like Genesis, and offer child theme for all kind of applications — Honestly, there’s never a single theme I wouldn’t need to modify. So, the Genesis system is perfect. But they’re kind no longer happening like before.

What I don’t understand is every RSS reader, web or mobile do support javascript… Why wouldn’t this work?

Is it because the RSS feed itself doesn’t not support javascript ie. no such thing as <script type=”text/javascript”></script> and <noscript></noscript> in feed xml?

A plugin suggestion – Share Button for Phone Apps

I have been looking for this solution to no avail.

The problem is I wanted to wrap website using webviewer app (for appearance or performance reasons).

1. Most of the share buttons you see on the https://8.ststyle.com/ either don’t work in the webviewer app or they will be pointing back to https://8.ststyle.com/, which is no good. It will nice if it can point to a predetermined URL prefix like https://ststyle.com/ (I usually use a non-index suddomain site with header chopped off etc. for webviewer app).

So far, there is nothing can activate the phone apps that I can embed on website.

So, the solution I am looking is basically a “mobile share button” that I can place in WordPress.

Also, it will be heavenly if you can make media sharing using the phone app.

Your applaud plugin works beautifully in webviewer. So, what is missing is a tool to share the post, better still, the post’s media – it will be a killer application.

1. I think you misunderstood … I am trying to REsize & Position the icon.

I am able to make the button bigger (by changing the height like this

BUT there are problems:-

a. I can center the button VERTICALLY to line up with the “share buttons” on the right?
(playing with “margin: 0 0 20px 0 !important;” can only bring the button down, not up.

b. the “active” button size never change (even though I put the same thing in “.wp-applaud.active” (as above)… This makes the button “transform violently” when clicked?

c. The count number font size never change.

Q1: How to I align the button so that it looks centered (compared to the shared buttons on the right) and be proportional (both button images & active button image size )?
Q2: Can you change the Count font size?
Q3: Can you position the Count font position( Up and down)?

2. I noticed you use image format .svg … Should I use svg, does it make any difference as compared to png?

There is nothing like Instagram Like/Share button by Instagram itself.

You got it wrong. I am saying I wanted to design a blog that visually looks like Instagram – One photo with a few buttons below. That’s it.

– FB Like button loads very slow (and doesn’t look like that rest – weird to have different button style)
– Hope you can make one that loads as fast as the rest (Please make one that animate – and shows the like scores like this https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-ulike/).

Next, FB LIke button doesn’t show up in blogs (it appear once at top) if I activated “Auto Load More”. See,

Other than that, some buttons don’t seems to work eg. Instagram in a webviewer app (this I understand).

So far, I can design blog to look like Instagram (as you can see) that run fast (using the best framework) and scrolls infinitely. My only challenge is I couldn’t put together the buttons for users to socialize yet).

I will buy it if you have a proper solution for me to design a clean simple UI like Instagram with a few buttons below the picture that will allow people to “socialize”. Things like Like(#), Share, Comment, Download (media – if possible). It’s meant for mobile device.

It looks like I gotta use the “Like” button.
Is there a way to position the FB Like button? It appears no matter what I do, It’s alway floating to the left (or right?). It can never stay at center? Any CSS trick (for the “Like Buttons”?

This is precisely why I always say, Keep WP Lighter & Faster.

– Anything called from the server is a burden/delay, no matter how small.
– Keep the core to bare minimal if you may. Especially on things that is not necessary.
– There are already plenty in existing WP even without Gettenberg (pingdom/GTMetrix said so).
– I agree the files are not that big, but it adds up.

Hope you also look into performance in your future development.

Guess the idea is you’re trying to make the editor more “user-friendly” to outdo portal like Wix etc.

I think the idea is good but the way you implement it is flawed.

I do agree with what you’re trying to achieve. For example, to create couple of columns, I gotta mess with some html/css, I imagine this is too much for most folks, if not impossible. However, what you’re introducing in 5.0 is not making things any better (as witnessed the complaints).

Instead of introducing the Gutenberg editor which is confusing and not helping much, perhaps you should introduce a “Canvass Style Editor” with elements the classic editor visually and essentially intact – since folks already used to it (especially the HTML version for users like me).

One way to achieve your objective is to make the whole backend even simpler, yet more productive.

As mentioned, and instead of introducing the Gutenberg editor the way it is (which is kind of hopeless eg. I can’t even place a button on image, and it leaves behind a bunch “dirty” codes), perhaps you should introduce a “Canvass Style Editor” with elements of the classic editor visually and essentially intact – since folks already used to it (especially the HTML version for users like me).

What I mean by “Canvass Editor” is essentially a “page builder” capable editor with bigger & cleaner UI. Provided you can achieve all that without comprising the performance, you should extend the functionality with an optional plugin (that will add icons/menu). The idea is offer a mimimal platform (yet robust) and let user choose to extend features & functions … the very reason why WP is so popular.

And if you are going in that direction, might as well also look at making the WP Page-centric instead of blog-centric. Why? Hardly anyone needs a blog these days, especially if you targeting folks who use things like Wix. They need website, not a blog. So, try to deevelop WP core that not only offers all kind fancy elements (like page builder) but also capable to be scaled into a monster rivaling Amazon.

The other aspect is mobile. I know responsive themes are aplenty. There remains a big gap between WP & the mobile world. If not because Google wanted contextual content, I believe blogs already cease to exist by now. Therefore, I think you should design WP as such that users can easily turn WP into some kind of “app” that mobile users can access regardless of plaform, especially IoS which is basically enemy of websites. I don’t really what … Best is independent of App Store, else, be an full fledged app.

And make WP as such that folks can easily create all kind of content eg. games with “app” features & capability so that mobile users can consume the content/program directly on WP.

I am not saying WP should create all the features and functions… No. Create a platform so that developers can offer the features and functions.

First thing first, make WP ligther and faster. If that means you must ditch PHP, then do so by introducing an all new WP, but leave the present “classic” WP alone (so that you don’t kill the base due to unforeseen circumstances – Gutenberg is almost one such example).

WP 5.0 just proves WP is a baby that never grow up.

What is Guttenberg suppose to do? Trying to be a page builder? Then be a page builder, but there is nothing like that. We needs all those useless blocks when you can easily get all those things done (and way more) without Guttenberg? In fact, Guttenberg actually restrict what can be done.

Listen, all we ask is a fast & light WP. Make it lighter, make it faster. Period. Right now, it’s a very Slow memory hog.

2 Words – Light, Fast. That’s all. The rest leave it to the theme/plugin developer.

You need to edit the index.php page

Locate the front page loop and copy the code from the loop that should repeater. Add that to your Repeater Template.

Seriously, I wonder if there is real solution to infinite scroll or even just click to load more – For even behemoth like Instagram crashes after loading too many pictures.

I always wonder why don’t Genesis release a theme with infinite scroll/click to load more? Guess they don’t know what to how resolve the memory issue. And I think the only way out is to find a way to kill the loaded posts (perhaps also throttle the scrolling)?
