FIX: Went to Plugins in my Dashboard and deactivated the Jetpack plugin and accepted deletion of all files for it. Upon re-installation and reactivation, Jetpack’s WP.me shortlinks now point to the correct URL.

NOTES:
1- Had a backup of the custom CSS, but when re-installed and re-activated, my previous custom CSS was restored automatically.
2- Looked at the Sharing configuration to see what would have to be reset after the reactivation of Jetpack. They all remained the same too.
3- Noted the Publicize config to remember what acc’ts wre connected, and they had to be reconnected after he reactivation of Jetpack.
4- Lost Stats data.
