Thanks much guys! A friend noted the XHTML part, and Vikia’s pointer to the style guide that pointed out the problem: while I did leave a quote out in my example above, the problem came from the fact that I wasn’t putting the positioning attribute in quotes.
Of course, “align” is deprecated now, so I just need to put some work into getting my code up to snuff. ??
