Have you tried turning on debug mode in your wp-config to get a better clue about your “blank page of doom”?

I found this interesting tibdit when googling your error:
ome plugins require the /wp-content/ folder be made writeable, but in such cases they will let you know during installation. In some cases, this may require assigning 755 permissions or higher (e.g. 777 on some hosts). The same is true for /wp-content/cache/ and maybe /wp-content/uploads/

Did you rename the config file from wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php ???

I am not familiar with Web Platform installer. But it looks like you should have entered a “WordPress application name” your site should be at https://www.yoururl.com/”wordpress application name”
Once your installation is complete you should have gotten a congratulations page with a link to your new installation.
Are you trying to install wordpress on your local machine or on the internet?
