I am really sorry to hear about the inconvenience. It seems like a caching issue. Can you please try doing this following: To regenerate assets, you can go to wp-admin -> Essential Addons then, switch to the ‘Tools’ tab and hit the ‘Regenerate Assets’ button. Also, make sure to Regenerate Files from wp-admin -> Elementor -> Tools as well. Check out this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/r3b588
If the issue still persists, please try clearing your browser cache or try another browser too.
Also, please, make sure you are using the latest version of the Free ( 3.8.5 ) and Pro ( 3.5.3 ) plugins.

For your requirement number 1, please, push the following CSS lines to your custom CSS section:
.gallery-item-caption-wrap.card-hover-bg { background-color: transparent !important; }
Regarding the 2nd requirement, currently, this is not possible but it’s a great idea. I have added this as a feature request and hopefully, we will bring this feature very soon!
