    Thanks for the info.

Sorry for the confusion, I’m saying that all the PHP files in the AceIDE plugin specifically, are all missing.

Are you perhaps able to view error logs as you install the plugin? That may give some insight as to what is going on.

    Hi Andre,

I have just recieved the email, and have had a look over your site now.
You have another unrelated issue, but it has helped track down part of the issue.

As you showed in your email, you are getting a 404 for the resource Ajax.php. The path is correct, however the file is missing. It is not missing from the plugin repository. In fact, you seem to be missing every single PHP file that belongs to the plugin! I’m not sure why this has happened, and I can only imagine that a re-install will fix it, or there is an issue with your server/WP or another plugin deleting these files.

What plugins do you currently have enabled on your site?

    Thanks

    Hi all,

Has anyone got any more information on this? I haven’t received any emails regarding this yet.

    Hi guys,

Really sorry to hear that. I have no such issues my side, so I’ve got no idea currently as to what causes the issues you’re having.

Are you able to provide a screenshot of your browser console, or any other sort of insight as to what may be going wrong from the browser side?

    Thanks

    Hi all,

I have had a look into this. It’s bizarre, I did not have this issue during testing before release, however I am definitely experiencing it now. I have fixed it in my environment, and will push an update ASAP. If you could all test and let me know how this goes, it would be appreciated.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention!

    Kind Regards,
    Shane

    Hi alicamera,

This isn’t something I’ve come across before. I can only assume that either this file has been infected somehow, or this is a false positive.

Feel free to investigate yourself, however. If the file is infected, it may not be the only one…

    Kind regards,
    Shane

    Hi domainhorizon,

Sounds like WordPress is having issues unzipping the plugin.

What version of WordPress are you using? What version of PHP?

    Thanks,
    Shane

    Hi MKSnMKS,

I have committed the code to make this compatible with PHP 7.
It will be available as of the next stable release.

    Kind Regards,

    Hi retetecugust,

    1. This is a work in progress. There will soon be a proper settings page for the editor.
    2. I’ll need more clarification on this one. I have scrollbars in my editor on Linux and Windows, both in Chrome. What OS are you on? What browser are you using?
    3. This will be a feature of the full-screen editor soon, and will probably be a feature of the normal editor.
    4. Maybe on the bottom, however it isn’t something I’ve currently considered. I’ll keep it in mind, however I currently have a lot in progress on the editor.
    5. That’s unfortunately not something I’ll be able to do. The actual text editor view is called Ace (hence the name of the plugin is AceIDE). I do not believe this to be a feature of Ace. I will look into this further, however I don’t think it is currently possible.
    6. There are currently other plugins that specifically provide access to view logs. I think this would do more harm than good, cluttering up the workspace. However I’ll keep it in mind, maybe with a setting to enable/disable it.
    7. I’ll look into that, it’s definitely not the intended behaviour.
    8. This is a feature of Ace, and it will be a setting you can enable soon when the settings page is complete.

If you could get back to me in regards to point 2 with your OS and browser info, that would be great.

I hope you otherwise have enjoyed using the plugin.
    Thanks for your contribution!

    Hi there,

Sorry for not getting back to you on this one at all.
The issues in question are with a library that AceIDE consumes. The only options we have are to update or to get rid of it. I’ve checked out the library and it looks like it still violates some of the same rules.

This library has a very, very small role in the plugin, and I do not see any requirement for it. I shall be removing it by the next release, and opting for replacing the functionality with pure PHP with the OpenSSL module.

Thank you for this report. Together, we will make AceIDE better!

Ahh… That’s interesting! It doesn’t make sense to me as to why it was only rejecting the one file though.

If you have a configuration file of sorts, and are able to send me a copy, I would be very interested in looking at it and seeing if there’s anything AceIDE can do to handle it better.

    Thanks ??
