In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Changing The Portfolio URLI am sorry “dead link” was a very poor choice of words.
When I click on the link I get:
Oops! That page can’t be found.
It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try one of the links below or a search?
I was unaware there was an outage and that very well could be the cause. Thank You for the heads up on this issue.
I will give this a try next week and see how it goes. Thank You for the reference.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Changing The Portfolio URLWould this method increase the load on my server every time that page is visited?
For anyone else reading this the above link is a dead link at the time of this post. Here is a link I found that provides the information and references the above link.
https://pablovallejo.me/removing-custom-post-type-url/
If this link does not work in the future then search Google for “remove-the-slug-from-your-custom-post-type-permalinks/” You should be able to find what you are looking for.

I like the idea it is very simple to add templates, however what about a more user friendly approach for those who do not know php or would be afraid to modify the code. It still seams like the additional templates would be lost with updates and/or upgrades though. If you as the developer needs to modify the settings.php file and release it as an update then how would that affect any current custom settings in the settings.php file. Would that still over write any changes made to the file by users?
What if the template array was built from the results stored in the database? Then the users can add and delete as many templates as they would like without being affected by the changes made to the settings.php file. Well providing the update does not have a bug that would disable this functionality.
If you don’t mind me suggesting possible options to this potential issue then here you go. This is what I would do.
You could use the add_option() and get_option() functions then pull them from the database in a foreach loop returning the values in the database allowing the user to select the one that they would like.
I saw this example awhile ago when looking for ideas for another project. Below is the forum post I came across when searching for help to the issues I previously had.

It is minor but I found a bug with the social media links while using ssl. The social media icons do not display when viewing your (the person using the plugin) website in https.

Regarding The Support Options Tab Issue (quoted below)
“If you click on the Support Options tab located in your administration ares the help tab will disappear and the Support Options Tab is rendered useless. The same thing goes with the Help tab.”
I sent you a private message via Facebook. If you would like me to contact you another way about that issue please let me know.
Thank You,
Shane
PS: I am not sure if anyone else is experiencing the Support Tab issue but it is really annoying. I have to deactivate the plugin in order to use that tab.

Thank You for your reply.
Will this be added to a future releases? If there are currently no plans may I request this as a potential feature for a later release?
Thanks

In reply to: [Responsive Maintenance Pro With Countdown] A much needed plugin.I wonder if that would include custom templates as well.
@Freelancing_Care
A custom template would be a good idea for users but advail does bring up a good point.
What if there were a folder to put custom templates in that would not be affected by an update. Then users can create custom templates or modify an existing one and stash them in the custom folder with out worrying about their custom or modified theme being affected.
Of course development documents would be need on how to create the custom templates, but it would get users to interact with your plugin more. It would be more user friendly I think.
PS: You can’t edit posts so how would I go about re-rating my review? Do I have to submit another review?
