The same issue persists if I use any other role.

If I leave out the “page” property, then I just get a blank page instead of content.

This has been fixed with version 1.1.4 now. Please download this version if you are facing any issues.

@hostingchecker: btw, since it is released under GPL, you can remove any or all of the links yourself (which, however, would be very mean ethically ?? )

halfloaded, For all the people like you who face this problem with WYSIWYG/visual editors like TinyMCE while using syntax higlighting plugins, I wrote a hack which would enable you to write code in WYSIWYG mode and still display it properly. @modestopinions: Since this topic is marked as “not resolved”, let me suggest you my plugin “shantz-wp-qotd”, which will do what you want. It has a random mode, to pick a quote randomly, a ‘quote of the day” mode, to show a quote based on today’s date and a “quote of that day” mode, to show a quote based on the date when the post was made.
