There is no ‘Build with A.I’ to toggle off anymore in Elementors settings, and by all accounts that never worked properly anyway.

Don’t know whether you’ve sorted it yet Ronny Dohmen but if you just have a few users then go User Profiles and uncheck the Enable Elementor A.I. will get rid of links and references for those users. If you want to permanently get rid try this code here:

It worked for me, and when I re-checked the field nothing happened (yay!)

Not a whiff of those links anywhere now so I have my fingers crossed it’ll work for you. I just wasted hours testing various code, and that link was the only one that got rid of them everywhere. Now I’m going to get rid of those Notes. Although if they keep adding useless bloat without an option to remove I’ll be moving to Bricks Builder as this is getting ridiculous.

Thanks for the response, unfortunaly dudes got no money as payment processor canceled his account as no longer deal with supplements so his orders have gone right down at the moment, which is why the Boodil plugin seemed like the answer.

I’ll keep trying to see if the plugin developer will update or find some code on a forum somewhere, or figure someway to notify him there’s a new order even if he has to go in an and manually send the Invoice to the customer.

I get notified from the security plugin for post updates (which includes Shop Orders) so if I’m on the comp I’ll manually go and send him a New Order notification if it’s from Boodil otherwise he’ll have to keep checking the site himself and manually send customers receipts.

The annoying thing is the plugin apparently works perfectly with Shopify, how hard could it have been to make sure it worked similar in Woocommerce? Grrr!

Hi, allow me to butt in here, just in case this info helps you or others.

The same thing was happening to me, and it was a nightmare importing a slider from my staging site. Ending up having to recreate it from scratch. However when I got to the navigation buttons it again started throwing an error and wouldn’t do it.

After some googling I finally realised it may be Wordfence causing it! If you have Wordfence installed then it could be causing your issue too. If so, put it into Learning Mode for a while as you create your slider, and then back to normal. It should have learned to play nice then.

Apologies if you don’t have Wordfence, I’ll leave the plugin developer to figure it out for you in that case. ??

Hi Simarandeep, yes I’ve tested those on your website in Safari and they load fine so I apologize for sounding snotty. It’s intensly frustrating when you work for hours on something and ONE browser lets you down.

I may have figured things out though as everything is working correctly now. I was speaking to my colleague (who has swapped elementor for another platform now) and he mentioned what happened to him using the Pro version; like me he has only his IP allowed in wp-admin for security. This caused no issues except in Safari on your plugin (he had trouble with the QuickView on the products grid, endlessly spun). I’m using the free one and had probs with many widgets rendering incorrectly or not showing – I also have only my IP allowed in wp-admin via htaccess. I removed it and things rendered normally in Safari like every other browser.

I put the htaccess ipblock back and things refused to render properly again. So I’m guessing that has to be why things didn’t render correctly. For some odd reason your plugin seems to need access to wp admin BUT only in Safari (or maybe it’s the Mac not merely the browser as I’m using a cloud emulation service which uses real Macs).

However, further investigation Sucuri Security plugin also had the settings set to harden various directories in wp (although not admin) – this also had a similar effect. Deactivating the plugin allowed me to manually put the ip block back and this no longer causes a problem. So one of the settings there (probably hardening wp content folder) causes issues in Mac/Safari but not windows browsers.

So if anyone says things are not rendering correctly on the Mac, ask them if they use a security plugin with hardening in wp directories, or an ip block for any ip not theirs in wp admin, and suggest they try removing it. Who knows they may get lucky and save you all hours of work trying to solve the issue! ??

Thanks for the response. Yes it’s FacetWP and uses ajax, and there doesn’t appear to be a way to have it not do so.

If it was a small retail site it would probably be ok…from a customer POV even if those extra products are not cached it loads quickly enough BUT… it’s a busy wholesale site and he’s already had to add more CPU resources so having those extra products uncached and using extra server memory when is not an option.

Guess I’ll have to tell him he has to stick with trad pagination if he wants all the products cached, unless he wants to pay for extra physical memory. ??

Oops, just noticed that Jersey and Guernsey are classed as seperate locations in Woocommerce, so won’t really need to add those codes for the islands if you select them as seperate countries with a different shipping zone from the UK

Just a heads up, Jersey and Guernsey are missing from the UK list.

My client just had a customer from Jersey who phoned to say she was getting no shipping options so couldn’t checkout. When I googled for those post codes they weren’t on the list even though they are in the UK.

Okay I got it all working. I restored the previous database (after reverting to WC 5.6.1 and WP 5.7.3).

Staus Metabox on this plugin remained unchecked, Disable Dashboard Widget Setup was checked. Updated to WP 5.8.1 and Metabox stayed there. Then I updated to Woo 5.8 and it was still there.

As I’m on the Staging site, not the live and had to revert the database, this may not work for some of you guys, but doing it in that order – upgrade WP first, THEN WC might do the trick for you.

EDITED: Oh FFS it has just disappeared again! It was there a minute ago and now that stupid dashboard setup is back. Seems WC 5.6.1 is the latest it can go without losing the Status box. 5.7.1 and 5.8.0 both lose it. Oh well, I’ll stick with 5.6.1 for a while longer.

Same. I got it back by reverting to Woocommerce 5.6.1 – both 5.7.1 and 5.8 is where it disappears.

ETA: Nope, when I updated WordPress 5.7.3 to 5.8.1 it disappeared again. So I rolled that back too but it is still not there. Even disabling your plugin doesn’t bring it back now!
Fortunately I’m on a Staging site but means I won’t be able to update either Woo or WordPress for the moment.

Hi Rahul, but I’m not using ANY woocommerce blocks, or Gutenberg come to that. Both have been deactivated.

I’m trying to cut down on plugins I have around 40 when the 2 inactive ones are switched back on and I’m trying to dump some which isn’t easy as woo needs a lot to provide the functions large stores need.

As I’m not using blocks at all it seems bizarre to have to install another plugin for something not used. Ignoring the server errors warnings wouldn’t be an issue but it’s a pain having to keep deleting the error logs because it makes it harder to look for real errors when it’s full of those messages.

Please look at fixing this in the next update as it shouldn’t be giving warnings if blocks are not being used at all.

@alicenatali I personally intend to wait for a while till they have sorted the issues out and make sure all the plugins have also been updated to be compatible with it.

On the plugins part when it says it has been tested against, on the sites with Elementor Pro it said it has only been tested up to version 3.1.0 (current version for Pro is 3.2.1). Now if they haven’t even made sure it’s compatible with the current Pro version, doesn’t bode well does it. Needless to say none of the other Elementor plugins have been tested with it according to the message.

So, I would leave it as long as you can before updating it. I expect this forum will be swamped soon with people complaining about broken sites.

Wait till they release a stable version and all your Elementor plugins have updates to be compatible.

@dcgavril thanks for that info. Considering how they are messing up the upgrade notification and the version on here, I think I’ll be waiting a while before updating. I have a feeling it may indeed be like the first v3 versions. ??

@missveronica it took a while but eventually it appeared on all mine with Elementor. A couple of them also have Elementor Pro, most don’t just Elementor, but they all showed it. I had a clickable update link on mine.

Weirdly it has just disappeared form one of the sites.

I used the rollback plugin on a staging site to see what was going on. Rollback versions showed:

Seems like someone has screwed up the upgrade notifications and it needs removing else people may inadvertently upgrade and mess up their sites.
