Yup, but the issue only exists when this plugin is activated.

And seeing how its a redirect loop, i suspect something isnt playing nicely. Regardless to resolve it, we will just move the redirects into nginx

We had FastCGI Cache enabled for some time and then we started getting 301 redirect loops.

To fix it, we troubleshooted and turned off the cache and the redirect loop was gone.

We then disabled plugins that we thought could cause this issue, and begun enabling them one by one.

Turning on the redirect plugin would cause this error.

This is happening across multiple sites that i have updraft on where some backups are left over.

Do you have any timeframe you can help us with as it has been close to 4 weeks since this is first mentioned and only now we getting asked for support logs

Its like some backups are being deleted because we are getting left over files every day like

uploads2
uploads6
etc

so its like some of the tmp files are deleted and not others and for whatever reason updraft is not trying again to clear this out

These are not system level temp files, you state that UD doesn’t create these files.

This cannot be true as they are within the folder wp-content/UPDRAFT

These are clearly files created by Updraft and the plugin is not cleaning up after itself for whatever reason.

There is no way these files are not created by updraft when it is clearly being created within your directory and are related to UD backups.

Yes, as mentioned this has happened for many months and i’ve had to manually delete them.

I have backups on my dropbox and it appears to have copied fine.

Can you explain what you mean by it can’t delete large files? i’ve deleted it myself and there are some in there that have already been deleted.

The files are timestamped from months ago, and this has happened for a while.

Our updraft folder ended up being over 30gb big and ended up taking down our server until we figured out why we had maxed out our storage.

Thanks for your response and sorry i didnt get back earlier, few other fires to fight and this issue resolves itself after a restart…

However, it happens once a week which is painful.

Can i confirm that if i do the steps with Deleting the plugin and then reinstalling it, will i still keep all my settings, including my meta data etc?
