Hi Dave –
This is the Shareaholic “badge” which makes it as easy as possible to view your Shareaholic dashboard. E.g.; Configure your Shareaholic settings and view your site analytics, so long as you are logged in to Shareaholic. It’s pretty powerful and is getting better and better as we add more features to the dashboard.
That said, you can customize or disable it via the steps documented in our help guides here:

Shareaholic.comHi @beggers –
Sorry for initially not seeing this question! We believe this to be either a WordPress or Pinterest issue, rather than a Shareaholic issue. The problem has emerged for many websites over the past 2 weeks, including those that are not using Shareaholic. For example here is a recent thread:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/pinterest-issue-site-doesnt-allow-readers-to-pin-content/
We are trying to get to the bottom of the situation so that we can provide better feedback to you and others who are asking about this. But at the moment we think it is unrelated to the Shareaholic plugin.
We’ll post any updates as we have them.
Greg
ShareaholicThanks for the review!
Thanks for your feedback!
Hello @invest0r7 –
Yes, the default installation includes this monetization option enabled, as it is a high-performing placement and can drive earnings for publishers more quickly than other units. We understand that some of our experienced users like yourself may not want some of these defaults, but for the broader community of people just installing Shareaholic for the first time we thought this default was the best choice. A lot of publishers are using Shareaholic to monetize their websites.
We do strive to make it VERY easy to configure/disable all of these options, which can be done by clicking “Edit Monetization Settings” on the Shareaholic admin page of WordPress.
Thanks for the feedback, we do appreciate it and take it into consideration!
Greg
Interesting – can you give me the URL you see that on?
As a quick update, this issue should hopefully be all resolved now! The work that was started yesterday to address this has been completed.
Best regards,
GregHi @claitonlord –
Sorry, I know it seems like a lot of things breaking at once. A lot of big changes and improvements have been released in the last few weeks! The attachments issue will be resolved within very short order. One of the new systems we have released was not doing something correctly for ignoring all of these attachments (we call them non-pages). This fix is relatively simple and our engineering team began preparing the fix yesterday. Apologies for the bumpy road these past couple of weeks.
Best regards,
GregHi @laserjobs –
The plugin as currently configured does not allow this. You could manually install Shareaholic on your site without using the WordPress plugin (by getting the setup code from an account on Shareaholic.comm), and this would allow you to place the code anywhere you’d like to try. However, it is designed to be in the head, and other issues may be introduced by placing it in the footer.
If you’d like us to look at your domain to see what external CSS is being loaded, we could see if we have any other ideas!

Shareaholic.comHello – checking to see if you have seen improvements in the quality of your recommendations and if there are any other issues you’d like for us to investigate. Looking forward to your feedback!
Hi @jixxer I understand why the Floated version is not working for what you’d like, but did you try the configuration steps I mentioned above for the standard (non-floated) share buttons? This might do exactly what you’d like!
Best,
GregHi @jixxer,
Thanks for the screenshot!
Yes this is indeed possible with Shareaholic. We have two types of Share Button widgets you can use:
1) The “Floated” Share Buttons which you initially tried. However this is not able to be added within a post. It will always be oriented in relation to the overall page (as opposed to the post within the page).
2) Our standard Share Buttons, which you can place in any specific place on your site that you would like, and you can customize their orientation and layout. You can easily demo this by going here:
Click the second option under “Layout” and you’ll see how these can be vertically aligned. You can also right-align them instead of left-aligning them.
The key thing you might need to do is place a code snippet in the correct location. By default, the WordPress plugin will give you several standard locations for Share Buttons, and for these you do not need to manually place a code snippet. You would simply click the “Customize” button within your Shareaholic plugin settings, as outlined in this article:
For example, you could customize the “Post Above Content” location to be vertically aligned, and then see how that renders for you.
If you can’t get it to be located the way you want, you would then place a code snippet in a specific location in your template, by following these instructions:
https://support.shareaholic.com/hc/en-us/articles/200470606-Customize-Shareaholic-Location-on-Individual-WordPress-Pages-and-SidebarsAs for the Facebook icon design, thanks for the feedback! We’ll certainly keep it in mind as we work on the icon designs!
Best,
GregHey @jixxer there’s likely a way to do this with a little bit of custom CSS added to your site’s template. However, before attempting to prescribe a specific set of steps, could you send us an example screenshot of what you are trying to get this to look like?
You can add attachments, etc if you send in a ticket here:
https://support.shareaholic.com/hc/en-us/requests/newThanks and looking forward to helping!
Sorry for the annoyance – it will be fixed soon, there’s a change being implemented over the next few days by our engineering team!
@wildedible do you mean an update on a new product feature for combining HTTP and HTTPS share counts? Not yet!
