I currently have an excerpt of my latest post on my website homepage. (My WP blog is installed in my cpanel). Right now I’m using the parent theme but I created a child theme so i can make a few changes to the footer. I made the changes, previewed it and it’s good to go, ready to activate. But I wasn’t sure if switching to the child theme will affect the excerpt of my latest post on my homepage or if it just affects the footer changes I made. A designer put the rss widget on my homepage and I’m not sure how and I don’t want to lose it. My site: https://strandedtreasures.com/
