What if I don’t use Akismet? It requires a monthly fee which the clients to not want to pay. They are a very small business and the website is a benefit feature only for their clients.
Before I give goodbye-captcha a try, I am using Jetpack contact form but doesn’t have a feature for adding recaptcha field. Jetpack says this when creating the form, “By adding a contact form, your readers will be able to submit feedback to you. All feedback is automatically scanned for spam, and the legitimate feedback will be emailed to you.”
Does that mean somehow there is a anti-spam feature used with the email submission process?
PS I was using contact form 7 before trying Jetpack contact form, but having problems with CF7 since WP latest update version. Theme tech people said not to use their datepicker. And it seems Jetpack interferes with contact form 7 anyway. Input welcomed.
My clients want an automated reg process too. In the middle of working with Ultimate Member on this. They don’t have that functionality at this time. But I was told they are working on an extension for that functionality. Have no idea when it will be available and if any cost. I hope they include it in the free version.
I really like UM plug in and don’t really want to try to search out another plug in right now. For now, UM said they would have to put in a special html code to have it work but would need to use an ftp program to get into the public.html control panel to do it. Clients said to wait for awhile. So, for now, they give people a reg code to submit. And will be reviewed for approval. At some point when the reg submission numbers get larger, they will have me do a automated process. Hopefully by then UM will have their extension available.
My client would prefer to directly give people a code they must type in the registration form to register. Otherwise they can’t register. Is that possible with Ultimate Member plug in? It is currently set up for registration review and email approval. Client prefers not to have to check email all the time.
I think I corrected it. Not sure what I did the other day to correct it, but it looks good now. Should have made a note of it. Thanks anyway.
