Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Twitter Widget Pro] Twitter lists STILL not working properlyjust reporting I’m having this problem too. Despite configuring it to select a list created under the user to display, it shows the user’s tweets instead
WordPress 3.8
Twitter Widget Pro version 2.6.0I read all the forum threads about it when looking for a solution. Hoping it will be fixed soon. Any update as to how this is going?
After much too’ing & fro’ing, it turns out it was partially a problem at my end and partially a problem at my web host.
Thank you for your responses though. I do appreciate the effort in trying to help me out.
Correct. They all work, so long as I installed them a while ago. It’s just that regardless of whether they are active or deactivated, WP Admin still says I’m running older versions and that the plugins need upgrading.
The plugins I have that are activated and working are:
Akismet v2.5.3
Broken Link Checker
Fast Secure Contact Form
Google Analyticator – this I upgraded in the last 48 hours and is the ONLY plugin that WP admin recognises as up to date
NextGEN Gallery
Tweet This
Twitter Widget Pro
Wickett Twitter Widget
WordPress Database Backup
WPtouch
YOURLS: WordPress to TwitterThe one I installed yesterday morning is Share-This – It’s not activatyed becuase after I installed it, and it gave me the install sccess message, I dind’t clcik on “Activatye” I just clicked “return to plugins list. Since it’s not showing up in this list, I can’t actcvate it now. This is the only installed plugin that can’t be seen via WP Admin plugins list.
At present, my Web Host is going to have a look to see if he can’t figure if it’s caching somewhere down the pipe. But If his efforts don’t yeild any results, I’ll try deleting wp-admin and wp-includes.

Thank you very much for your reply.
The wordpress upgrade page suggests that if you are going to upgrade WP (which I have been trying to do) it might be a good idea to disable all the plugins while you upgrade.
That was the first upgrade I tried to complete. WP from 3.0.3 to 3.1.
Also, all the plugins I have manually or auto upgraded, all show their newer versions if I look at the readme text files on the server.
It is only within the Browser (WP Admin) that they show the earlier version.
I also tried installing a new plugin this morning. I did it via the automatic install. After WP Admin told me the plugin had been successfuly installed, I logged into the server. The new plugin folder/files are in the WP-Content/Plugins folder as I expected them to be. Yet, WP Admin > Plugins list does not show the new plugin. There were 11 plugins installed before I installed this new one, And now, it still shows 11 plugins.
And I also have disabled all the plugins and brought them up one by one. That didn’t change anything.
I did the same with the theme (I’m using TwentyTen). No joy there.
