HI,

It pops up without delay. True. I purged the Cloudflare cache. I purged my own cached and the turned it off.

It does come up with a short delay in Incognito mode, but it closes before I can enter any information.

This thing has great potential. I believe in it still.

The H1-H6 settings work well for one of my WordPress sites. But, they don’t work for the other. When they don’t work they seem to work in the Customizer and I publish them. But they don’t stick.

It worked when I entered it into the customize CSS option. It is interesting, it didn’t really work, it just make the columns more narrow. But, it looks much better.

Thanks for the suggestion. It doesn’t seem to help.

I go to gallery>other options>styles. In small print there is line that says “(Show Customization Options)”. I click on it and enter the code there.

I’m using GeneratePress theme (Mantle) and WP 5.2.3, all updated. I’ve purged all caches 2x including Cloudflare.

I’m at a loss.

Gutenberg drag and resize images is not intuitive. Even after doing it a bit, it is not forthright.

Then, try doing a spell check of the image caption.

Then, try doing a grammar check of the post text.

There are some wonderful things about Gutenberg, but some things are just a nuisance.

Gutenberg spell checking via a browser is 1/2 what spell checking should be. The checker should be able to learn words. I’ve spent years training my WordPress spell checker scientific, technical, and mathematical words. Now Chrome wants to label them as misspelled.

Lack of grammar checking is a problem for me too. The classic editor allows rudimentary checking of grammar. It is a god send. I write passive sentences that I want to root out. I type a word twice in a row. Etc. I really benefit from a grammar checker.

I can write in MS Word and transfer the whole thing over, but that is multiple extra steps. There is no “preview” available for how it will look on the page. So, I write and paste, preview, and then write and paste again and check the preview again. Etc. Forget about heavy editing of a post–it must be extracted (headings and all) and returned to MS Word. Also, MS Word is for limited use on my system where I have a subscription that is slow. It is so slow that I really use it only for reading documents that I receive now and then.

Please restore spell checking and grammar checking. If you can do that, I’ll take Gutenberg more seriously.

Gutenberg is innovative and I can see some possibilities for the future. It is difficult to implement it in an already standing Website. I have a niche Website, not a blog. It seems impossible to change 100 older pages as I add new pages with Gutenberg features. So, I’m left avoiding many of the new features in order that all my pages have a uniform look. Perhaps the Gutenberg learning curve has put me off too. I write when I have time–time is money for me.

The spelling and grammar checkers are gone. Chrome does some spell checking, but I’ve yet to teach it how to learn specialized scientific text or to work with mathematics. The absence of a grammar checker has been disastrous. I can write as well as most people, but double words creep in as well as more passive sentences than I prefer. The grammar checker is essential for me as I clean things up.

Gutenberg is an idea for a future site, not a current one. Hopefully, by then, the spell checker and grammar checker will have returned.

Anyway, keep innovating.

I too installed this plugin and find it pretty good for tags. It seems to be OK for categories, but there is a problem. When when you try to click on a category (such as in a category page) it links to the correct page. They link to the front page. All the categories and category pages have this error.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Sorry for not posting screenshot. The sidebar just always stays the same width. That is fine but I find it too wide.

If I knew how, I would make the sidebar more narrow.

The problem is bad in Firefox, but the problem seems to have gone away in Chrome.
