In reply to: [Tracks] How to remove featured image on tracks themeHey — just stumbled across this thread and it has two great answers that I was looking for.
One followup on the first one — is it possible to do that only on SOME post pages, but not all?
I had the same problem, searched, and found a solution that somebody else found:
https://miklasnjor.com/en/2015/jetpack-related-posts-qtranslate-x-fix/
in wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/related-posts/jetpack-related-posts.php
change line 840 (It says 697 on that website, but it’s an older version of the plugin) from
return wp_strip_all_tags( $post_title );
to
return wp_strip_all_tags(__( $post_title ));
Worked like a charm!
Cool – good to know you guys have it in mind.
Thanks for the help Jeremy, take care.
I do have one more related question — since this is going to send out an email when I write a new post, and I am writing new posts in two languages using qtranslate-x — what will be sent to the users?
I don’t mind if both languages are sent in the same email, but I’d like to make sure that at least that is done, rather than only one version.
Do you know if it will just show up like:
[:en]mytext[:es]myspanishtext?
No problem, and thanks for the quick reply.
I guess being able to customize the subject line would be nice.
My site is a personal blog, so I don’t mind simply putting both versions of the email in the same message.
I think you’re right, that a more professional solution would be to have two different lists/sites. I did that once with subscribe2 and simply had one widget for my English site and one for my Spanish site — that more or less solved the issue.

In reply to: [WP Tiles] 2 different grids on same page not workingWell, I thought that by having “Different grid on small screens: OFF” would be the same as changing the breaking point to 0 — seems logical, but turning it ON and setting it to 0 solved the problem.
Maybe this will help somebody else.

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Google No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA by WisdmLabsI guess I meant only 2 on the frontend – the rest are admin one’s. I don’t care about the backend. Anyway, the important part is either autodetect working or translating the part built into google (“I’m not a robot”) which I’m afraid will not be covered here.
thanks

In reply to: [ALO EasyMail Newsletter] Sending emails to mailing lists when content addedSo was it possible to send notifications of new posts?
I know that subscribe2 allows this, but it does not support qtranslate-x.
Is it possible to use this plugin so that when somebody registers it will notify them of news posts AND work with qtranslate-x??

In reply to: [Google No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA by WisdmLabs] translation in the error messageI found the line in the php file and was able to put qtranslate-x’s [:en] and [:es] strings. Works great for that message.

In reply to: [reCaptcha by BestWebSoft] Feature request: captcha API language codesAutodetect is not working for me, it stays in Spanish (I usually use qtranslate-x to switch between languages, so I guess it cannot pick up on “what language the browswer is in”).
Any advances on this?

In reply to: [qTranslate X] Google No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA by WisdmLabsBut this only translates one or two strings – there are many that are not translated. Maybe those are on google’s end??

In reply to: [Google No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA by WisdmLabs] translation in the error messageme too. I also don’t even see that file

In reply to: [Google No CAPTCHA reCAPTCHA by WisdmLabs] multi-language labelIs there not a way to autodetect language instead of choose language (like https://es.www.ads-software.com/plugins/no-captcha-recaptcha/ ) ??
I have found that qtranslate-x works for the frontend, like the form and the buttons if you change the file class-s2-frontend.php and just putting the [:en]text[:es]texto in all of the files pulled on the frontend (basically, the translations found in the .po file).
However, for emails being sent out, it seems impossible. My “solution” has been simply to write the messages in two languages.
Very open to any better solution!
