It is using WordPres Default 1.6

I checked that I have no active plug-ins.
I am using WordPress 3.0.1. The latest version, 3.3.1 is not supported by Network Solutions.
I don’t know how to change the theme, nor whether the default theme is currently being used. I inherited this site from somebody else…

There are two settings to which I am referring:

1) “Email me whenever anyone posts a comment”
2) “Before a comment appears, an administrator must approve the comment”

When I check 1) but not 2), I get no notification
When I check 1) and 2), I get the notification

I want to be able to check 1) but not 2) because I don’t want to have to moderate every comment.

Basically there seems to be a bug in the WordPress system where checking 1) has no effect. Can somebody please fix the bug?

Hi t-p. Thank you so much for the ideas. I have tried multiple email addresses. None of them work. The email I want to use does work for notifications when I choose to moderate. For now, this is my workaround…I will deal with the downside of moderating to ensure I receive notification of new posts. Nothing was in the spam folder. The web host, Network Solutions, punted the problem as a WordPress problem. I’m not sure I understand that plugin, so I’m a little scared to try it. I welcome any additional ideas.
