I’m looking to “not display the breadcrumb at all”.
To wrap the call to bcn_display() I’ll have to edit theme files, is it possible to have the same result from a plugin? (that’s way I was looking for a hook to attach ;))

I confirm that since WordPress 4.x the Appearance > Customize check isn’t working.
I think that the problem is made by WordPress, that to remember the page to return after editing has added a “return” parameter to the default page link.

I followed the linked doc, but no variations are added.

– remove some fields like image upload, state and region
– hide country field (simply hide, because the field is required)
– change/hide some description texts
