In reply to: [Phoenix Media Rename] -scaled suffix problemHi @webnature!
The -scaled suffix is added by WordPress when the image is “too big”. That was introduced in WordPress 5.3, and here you have more information about that: https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2019/10/09/introducing-handling-of-big-images-in-wordpress-5-3/
Because of that, I don’t think this issue is related to ShortPixel or Phoenix Media Rename, so maybe you can try to disable that feature and try again? In the previous link you have the instructions on how to do so.
Let us know how it goes, please ??
Best,
AlexHello @stormhill,
thank you for using ShortPixel and for taking the time to leave a review! ??Could you please let me know the URL of your website so I can look closer at your optimization report?
Also, you’re saying “other than the log reporting that the job was well done, I could not tell what it did”: could you please let me know what would you have expected to happen or for you to see?
Did you use a service like Google PageSpeed Insights to see the score before and after the image optimization being performed by ShortPixel?I would greatly appreciate your answers.
Thank you,
AlexKacper,
thank you for the heads-up.We have the fix ready, we’ll release it on Monday.
Best,

In reply to: [Autoptimize] CDN servers in RussiaHey Petr,
thanks for your question. If ShortPixel hasn’t any DB records it cannot restore the images.
But a workaround would be to just copy the files in the backup folder (keeping the folder structure, of course) over the optimized files and then run again ShortPixel.
This way the images will be optimized again but without the risk of over optimizing them and there will also be DB records for the future.Hope this helps,

In reply to: [Resize Image After Upload] Image croppingHi @ilanm47 ,
Resize Image After Upload does not crop or distort your images. It will always keep the aspect ratio.
You have to take into account that if you want to change the aspect ratio:
1) You will have to use another plugin or do it with a photo editor.
2) You cannot change the aspect ratio without cropping or distorting. You will have to either crop the image or distort it ??Forum: Plugins

AlexHey Victor,
could you please copy&paste here the exact piece of code containing ‘SHORTPIXEL_API_KEY’ and SHORTPIXEL_HIDE_API_KEY’ that, when added to wp-config.php, breaks your website?
Thank you,

Regards,
AlexHey @wpkiller – thank you for your message and for using SPAI.
Please note that the original image:
https://www.thebp.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/%D7%A9%D7%9E%D7%99%D7%9B%D7%AA-%D7%A4%D7%A8%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9D-190%C3%97300.jpg
returns a 404 error message.
This is the reason why you’re seeing that “Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) blocked cross-origin response” issue.Best regards,
AlexHey @bookfinder – thanks for your message but please note that ShortPixel Image Optimizer only resizes the original image, not the thumbnails.
If you want to (re)generate thumbnails you can use this ShortPixel plugin.
Regards,
AlexI understand your concern.
Please note that you can use Cloudflare with this plugin and the CDN will be 100% free, you’ll only have to pay for the image optimization. Here you have an example on how to use Cloudflare with SPAI plugin and also please note that from a SEO standpoint it is safe to use our system with a CDN.
Unfortunately there is no way to use SPAI without accessing our API, that is, you cannot just have the images processed locally on your website.
Hopefully, I was able to answer your question ??
Regards,
Alex
