In reply to: displaying more than five posts breaks sidebarhi moshu, thanks for the reply.
I guess I didn’t make it clear, before the upgrade everything displayed fine, and I have added no new posts since that time.
Second, as a Linux geek I don’t use Microsoft Word, and I compose all my posts in the code tab, I don’t like the extra html odds and sods wordpress tends to add to my text.
I have pushed the page through the W3C validator, but I am not sufficiently familiar with the wordpress guts to know where to find the bits and pieces it says are not fully html compliant.
since, as I said, I have added nothing as far as posts go since several days before the upgrade to 2.2, I think it is reasonable to rule out the possibility of a stray “copy and paste” tag.
any more ideas???
thanks!

In reply to: displaying more than five posts breaks sidebarthis strikes me as a very serious upgrade bug. Is there anyone out there with an idea of what is causing this problem?

In reply to: layout crazed after upgrade from 2.1.3 to 2.2OK, after some dinner and a think about this, what I have now is:
If I have less than five posts on the page, then the sidebar lines up correctly.
BUT… if I have more than five posts, and I usually have 20, then the sidebar appears BELOW all the posts.
can anyone explain to me why this is happening???

In reply to: layout crazed after upgrade from 2.1.3 to 2.2ok….. think I finally found it. looks like there was a deprecated wp_list_cats() call in the sidebar.php file that needed to be upgrade to wp_list_categories(). The Category Tagging isn’t working, but at listed it no longer looks totally f*cked.
thanks for your help… well, or for listening, anyway :/
