I will post results back when I get time to test this issue for plugin conflicts. I am setting this site up in my local development environment so I can test thoroughly.
Thanks,
ScottI was able to resolve the issue temporarily by disabling Ajax on the Everest forms. Do you have any idea what would cause that issue when Ajax is selected?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] The Events Calendar 5.1.2 conflict with WooCommerce@jim5471 – that is the file directory location to the PHP file that is throwing the error.
I am running the same configuration in Dev and not getting this error/notice. There have been some major plugin updates with the configuration I have put together so I am testing the plugins one at a time to see if I can figure out where the conflict is.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] The Events Calendar 5.1.2 conflict with WooCommerce@jim5471 – thanks for the feedback. I got the previous version of the plugin and rolled it back. Unfortunately that did not solve my problem. I am investigating what could be a WPML issue causing all of this. The notices I am getting about tribe-events could ultimately be a smoke screen that had me looking in the wrong place all along.
Thanks,
Scott
Any other idea what might be causing this problem? I’m interested in rolling Dokan into production but can’t unless I can solve this issue.
Thanks,
Scott
Hello @rur165,
I should have mentioned in my original post that I did confirm my permalink settings were configured to the specification in the getting-started document. I just double checked and they are set properly.
Thanks,
Scott
Marc,
Thank you for the response, this is exactly what the problem was. I updated wp-config manually and all is well.

In reply to: Cannot Update or Install PluginI have looked at the owners/permissions and compared them back to other servers I have running. The ownership/permissions are the same as I have on other servers which all work fine. Something else has started causing this problem and I can’t figure out what that is. I had to set the plugins directory to 775 temporarily to get all my plugins updated. I’ll have to keep digging until I uncover the issue.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Cannot Update or Install PluginOk I finally found something that is working, but I am concerned about the update this requires.
I update permissions on wp-content to 775 and I am now able to update plugins. But I have three other WordPress servers running with the same configuration and the permissions on wp-content for all of those servers are set at 755 and I can apply updates without any issue.
Anybody have a thought on what could be causing this?

In reply to: Cannot Update or Install PluginOk I manually installed Health Check and ran that on my server. There is 1 Critical Error in the information: I have Plugins that need updating.
That is my problem, I can’t update my plugins. I am posting the info from the plugin here, maybe somebody else will notice something I am missing. Since I am running a Multisite install I just ran site check on the default user blog.

In reply to: Cannot Update or Install PluginOk I don’t see anything helpful in the Apache error_log file. I checked the access_log too just to see if something was recorded there but so far nothing that seems relevant. When I check the error_log immediately after I try to update the plugin and get the error message, there is no record of an error there.
I’m still researching trying to find something useful.

In reply to: Cannot Update or Install PluginOk so maybe my PHP and Apache logs are the same thing. I’m still trying to get used to Linux.
Let me dig a little deeper in the logs, maybe I am overlooking something obvious.

In reply to: Cannot Update or Install PluginI didn’t think about disk quota but I do check that frequently. I am currently running at 4% capacity. I have another server that was hit with a brute force attack in December, so disk quota checks are now a common, daily practice.
I will look in the PHP error logs and see what I find. I have been looking through the Apache error logs, but haven’t found anything relevant. I didn’t consider the PHP logs.

In reply to: MySQL Database growing 200GB+Ok I just isolated the problem with my site to a brute force attack. I have been examining the drive space every day for irregularities and happened to check the drive today while an attack was going on. I could see the UPDATE queries being run against the wp_usermeta table and was able to isolate those queries to an attack against wp_login.php.
I have blocked the IP address associated with the attack. I am going to run the plugins you suggested now and see what I can do about cleaning up the 175GB worth of unindexed data the attacks created. I will post results when I am finished.
What recommendations do you have for protecting my WordPress install against brute force attacks?
Thanks,
Scott
