Can I also check Kevin. Once you submit a revision and schedule it. Does the scheduled publish only happen if approved? Or if scheduled, will it get published whether approved or not?
Hi Kevin – thanks alot, I confirm that has fixed it on our WPEngine staging site with WPEngine Alternate CRON enabled – as detailed here:
https://wpengine.com/support/wp-cron-wordpress-scheduling/
I wasn’t sure if you were saying that that service is needed or not. Anyway, it is working.
Hey there
Sorry for the delay – I was on another project.
I have created a GA config tag in a test container and set up the marketing trigger as per your documentation and I am seeing cookies blocked from analytics.google.com.
Thus, I think I now see how these triggers should work (and are working in my simplified setup) – I think the issue may be with my client’s rather complex GTM container setup.
Thanks for your help with this… very much appreciatd.

Many thanks for persisting with this. I tried the above configuration but am still not seeing the fbp cookie blocked when I decline marketing cookies.
Is this what you meant?

Thanks for the link to the Complianz dev document. Is the suggestion to use the deny status to block the tag?
I think it is a custom template – it is labelled gtm-templates-simo-ohava
So in fact the Facebook pixel is set up via Google Tag Manager using a custom Facebook Pixel event that uses a lot of fb variables and injects a script. I don’t think I can attach screenshots in here can I? Otherwise I would take a screenshot of the configuration. I believe I already tried attaching the custom trigger complz_event_marketing to the tag but did not see it being blocked.
Should I be creating some sort of blocking trigger?
Hmm…the Swiftype plugin is used for Search only. I can’t see any means by which those tools would be configured through there. What gave you that impression?
Hey Aert – seems like Facebook not set up in there no. To be honest, I’m not sure where that is set up
Hi Aert
Yes I tried to follow that… is the only way to do it via Google Tag Manager then? I set up the triggers as instructed but the scripts are not entered via GTM… the GTM is managed via the wordpress plugin so I’m not sure how to tie the trigger/custom event in. (I’m not very familiar with GTM)

Thanks! Worked a treat!
