Please be sure to clear any cache you might have – I still do see that JS error. You should also use an online-validator maybe to find and close the stray HTML tags you have (they might cause further errors sooner or later). A noscript tag is involved.

But my 2 cents: Going back to an older version and being forced to stay with it isn′t as good as finding the source of the problem (do the deactivate-plugins test maybe, don′t forget scripts you might have implemented in a different way).

There is a JS (“jQuery is not defined”) error on your site. It points to the ajaxyLiveSearch script starting at line 279 in your source. Maybe try deactivating this to see if CF7 works then?

Just a heads up for anyone coming here later: If you maybe got a widgetized frontpage and no actual page to access for the settings: There′s an easy workaround.

1.) Search for the codesnippet to enable shortcodes in textwidgets (if your theme doesn′t support that) and add it to your theme′s/childthemes functions.php.
2.) Then drag a textwidget into the widget area in question and use the shortcode the plugin provides (with the fitting class or ID of the containing div/wrap). Wrap it in a div with a custom class maybe, so you can use CSS to style it accordingly.

That′s basically it. Works even for body if you make sure there′s no colored div/element covering it. Tested in Genesis with Dynamik childtheme, works. ??

Code sample to add to textwidget:

Sigh, took me a while to figure this out. Short practicable examples how to solve this might help more than the Docs I guess. Yes, I read them…. And those syntax errors bugged me to, while I used the tags provided in “In the following fields, you can use these mail-tags:”

So I put an address I just invented in the “From” field: [email protected]

In “Additional Headers” this:
Sender: [email protected]
Reply-To: [full-name] <[your-email]>

The Reply-To always makes it possible to send your reply to the sender′s email-address by just clicking on “Reply” as usual while the fantasy-email just makes sure it validates and you know where it′s coming from. Errors gone.

Just test it.

Just a heads up: So far no scan got hung up during this last week. ?? Will dare to re-activate BWP Minify to see if has influence.

I do not use any caching plugin (or CDN) so far and also my hosting doesn′t do caching outside of WordPress. I do leverage browser caching and use AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE in my htaccess though – would that have any influence? Don′t think so, but trying to rule out things…

No, I wasn′t able to find out where exactly the scan hangs. I excluded the largest files (like backups from BackupBuddy) from the scan. The last scan I manually stopped looks like this in the log:

Right afterwards I started another scan manually. That went just fine and says:

As you see, the site isn′t really large.

If it was a certain file, wouldn′t it hang every time?

More facts: It′s the free version and I do have days when two scans are started, only 8 hours apart.
I also found this in the log (only once during last week):

Thanks for your patience. I′m well aware I need to improve my “PHP in general”. You are right – I did a great job in storing things for no reason. LOL Also I missed the _id needed for the image. I′ll just try to blame the New-Years party. ??

I finally succeeded with dropping those three variables that weren′t needed/used at all and echo like so (just in case somebody else might have a use, too):

Once you get down to the foreach loop, you echo out the image src for whatever is in that array at the time. Perhaps that’s where you’re mixing things up?

If you say I never actually use it anywhere – how would I correctly echo out that size I′m fetching OR do it a way that the responsive stuff is auto-handled by WP (like it is for other content pics), is the variable useful that way, or is there a better/more efficient way to do that? (Sorry – my first try with CMB2 actually)

To further extend the question a bit: I′d love to see some documentation about how to make use of the new responsive images feature implemented in WP 4.4 – are there any plans?
How can I implement srcset and sizes attributes for those images in my sample? Would you recommend to do so?
