OK, managed to solve this myself for lack of any feedback!
In case others have this problem the solution is to download a fresh copy of the plugin and manually reinstall it over the current copy. The new version I downloaded was a more recent version, indicating the that automatic updates are not working for this plugin for some reason.
I did a bit more digging on this. Thinking it might be a conflict with my Astra theme I temporarily changed the site to WP Twenty-Twenty Four theme. However, the problem persisted: when I try to reactivate Variation Swatches for WooCommerce – Pro I get a message that the plugin caused a critical error.
Having switched back to my usual Astra theme I then deactivated all plugins except the core Woocommerce plugin and the free version on Variation Swatches (which the Pro version requires). No change: as soon as I try to reactivate the Pro plugin I get the same warning about a critical error.
I’m not sure what else I can do. I hope somebody from the company who owns the plugin reads this!

In reply to: [Initial Letter] 100% uselessYou need to check the “first paragraph only” option in settings to stop a drop cap appearing on every block of text.
Thank you so much. I await the next update with interest!
Oh, OK, I’ll ignore it then,
Thanks for the prompt response. No rush, thank you for keeping me in mind.
You seem very busy on this site!I managed to do this by copying the full target URL from my browser, then opening the image in the Media Library and pasting the URL into the “Custom URL” box. Then I selected either ‘new tab’ or ‘same tab, depending on preference, in “Custom target”.
Your first image (workwear) is trying to link to a page, but not finding it (404 error) which would indicate a typo in the URL. The others are all just opening images (not in a lightbox).
That’s very kind.
My site is https://www.silhouettist.ukYou’ll find the image viewer I’m referring to in the footer.
Basically, I’m just looking to make the buttons blend into the background colour better. Many thanks.

In reply to: [MX Time Zone Clocks] Great widget, and great support tooOK, that worked! Many thanks.
Maybe you should idiot-proof your widget by providing a drop-down list of timezones, instead of allowing us to simply type a name in!
Thank you for your help.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [MX Time Zone Clocks] Great widget, and great support tooThank you for looking into this.
I didn’t try to alter the code in any way. I notice that if you don’t select an option, the defaults appear as “”. (eg: lang=””).
I tried again making sure to select all the options.

In reply to: [MX Time Zone Clocks] Great widget, and great support tooHi @markomaksym
Thanks for following up!I put the clock in the sidebar under the heading “Time at our studio”.
I did this by putting your shortcode in the text widget, as the plugin didn’t seem to create a widget of it’s own.Shortcode I used:
[mxmtzc_time_zone_clocks time_zone=”London” city_name=”Mays Barn” time_format=”24″ digital_clock=”true” lang=”” lang_for_date=”en” clock_type=”” show_days=”false” clock_font_size=”18″ show_seconds=”false” ]I put it back now at: wwww.silhouettist.uk
However the site is under construction so not yet open. I plan to lift the maintenance notice over the weekend. I’ll leave the clock in place until then as it’s a minor ommission.
The site sells international virtual events, so I thought a local clock would help.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Confirm email problems, addresses do match. Is is possible to reinstall an earlier version of Contact Form 7? The version before your most recent update seemed to be compatible with my website theme.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Confirm email problems, addresses do match.I think we’re getting there. I deactivated all the plugins and got the same result. I then noticed that, although the error message was saying:
“Validation error: perhaps the email addressees don’t match?”
Actually, a radio list at the bottom of my form also had a message in red saying
“please fill in the required field”
This radio list is not supposed to be a required field, so I hadn’t checked a button.
I did so, and the message sent.
I then reactivated all the plugins that were active before and repeated the test. The same thing happened (message sent OK once I checked one of the radio buttons).
I then tested it with two different email addresses and the message still sent OK!
I then reactivated my original theme, and this time the message would not send, even with a radio buttons checked.
I assume this means that the latest version of your form is not compatible with my website theme, is that correct?
This is a shame as the theme is a custom theme designed by a web designer!
I’m also left with the problem that the confirm-email field doesn’t work (i.e.: the message send whether or not the emails match).Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Confirm email problems, addresses do match.I’ve done that. Same result I’m afraid.
