In reply to: [File Manager] Unable to connect to backend. HTTP error 0No replies yet, but to update: I updated php to 7.3, and was able to download one folder. However, this folder, dated 2013, is empty. This makes sense because the photos I uploaded and modified would most likely have been in 2014. Anyow, I tried to download 2014 and got same error message as above. Last night, I decided go into the folder, and upload all the photos in the one marked (1). Some 20 or so hours later, it is still sitting there, apparently ‘creating a file for download’ with 186 photos of various sizes waiting in the wings. In short, this plugin just isn’t working.

In reply to: Changing the content background in wp 2014 themeNo I tried that one – that leaves the pages/posts surrounded by white. I think we can live with the white labels for the time being, until I can work out how to apply changes to the front page without affecting the other pages. Thanks for your help, and for trying with this one, anyway. It’s a great improvement on what I started with.

In reply to: Changing the content background in wp 2014 themeI want to change the content header background on all pages and posts to match the content background, but I want the front page (which is set up blocg-style) to retain the text and background colour under the grid pictures (currently a darkish green background with (I think) white writing.)

In reply to: Changing the content background in wp 2014 themeThank you Andrew, that’s great – gets rid of the white stripes. Wonderful. But I still have the problem that the entry-header is either white on the posts/pages, or if I add .entry-header to the change of colour, the backgrounds to the titles on the front page also change, and look really horrid, not to mention that the entry header writing on the front page is white and so doesn’t show up. I know there’s a way to add code to just one page, but I don’t know how to do this, or even if that’s how to cure this problem in this theme.
Is there no-one from WordPress checking this out? There has to be a way I can log in to my site, and it seems that WordPress have the key. I have no access to my own website because WordPress has apparently forgotten my email address. As it is my main site and I need to work on it and launch it properly I am completely stumped as to what to do.
I have exactly the same problem. Any answers please? I have been working on this over the hol season to no avail. No access to my main site now.
