OK, here’s what I’ve figured out:

On my site, using the cat method fails, a la https://silverpenpub.net/?feed=rss2&cat=937 — it just shows all posts, like the regular /feed

Using the pretty URL works, such as https://silverpenpub.net/category/podcast/feed

However, I haven’t been able to reproduce this on another site.

@lwelyk Try using the “pretty” method per the third example under Categories and Tags at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WordPress_Feeds

Nope, not that plugin. All old feed URLs go to /feed, which means my podcast one probably isn’t working anymore either >.<

Can’t reproduce this problem on another site–I’ll keep investigating…

It was suggested to me that the Feedburner Feedsmith plugin might be to blame. I’ll test that out today and see.

Bah, so it is. I’ve been having problems with AfterTheDeadline in Google Chrome where form submissions will fail. The page gave me an error, I disabled it, and submitted a second time–didn’t realize it had created a second entry.

I’m having this problem as well. Anyone have any ideas how to set the timezone or have it pick it up from WP?

Spent most of yesterday evening messing with this, and will struggle with it more tonight. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated though.

Comment preview doesn’t affect it, and neither does setting permalinks to default. I also tried removing a few things related to index.php from my .htaccess file, but they just prevented posts/pages from working and didn’t resolve the comment issue. Hard to tell if that’s related or not…

The .htaccess does redirect index.php back to /, but as you’ll notice, https://silverpenpub.net/index.php does work. The link you gave above for the comment form just goes to a blank page for some reason, though.

I’m not particularly interested in posting my full .htaccess file, but I could send you a copy if you think that would be helpful. I could put together a full list of plugins I use as well (I believe there are over 30 at this point).

Just noticed some hits on my site from this thread and I wanted to post an update. Turns out this issue wasn’t caused by the Google XML Sitemap Generator–it was a false correlation. Looked like a strong correlation, but the problem was something else entirely.

I’ve been using Google XML Sitemap since then and it has been solid.
