In reply to: How to display full posts in specific category?I’ve tried the ‘Content instead of the excerpt’ plugin but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Does anyone have any other plugin recommendations?

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandOK. I’ll see what my web hosts say and will report back if I find anything of use to anyone else who may be experiencing the same problem.

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandInteresting that some people are running WP 3.8 with Google’s mod_pagespeed, without problem. I didn’t know that. Indeed, if that is the case then it must mean there’s a setting in there that’s got to be tweaked at my end. Thanks Esmi – that gives me something to go on.

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandThanks Esmi. I realize that this would be the easiest solution but I’m wondering if there’s a way I can resolve this and keep pagespeed on. Do the volunteer developers have somewhere where users can submit issues that the developers may consider fixing?

Thank you. What would you recommend I do to rectify this problem?

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandMy apologies – I had forgotten to clear my cache prior to doing this last test. You can see from the file (linked to in last post) that the Pagespeed module’s effects were still cached at that point.
I have redone the test (Google’s mod_pagespeed switched off and my browser’s cache cleared this time) and the problem doesn’t occur. So the issue is with Google’s mod_pagespeed module. It doesn’t seem to jive well with WordPress 3.8’s collapsible menus after saving. I just want to add here though, that it works fine with earlier versions of WordPress. Just not 3.8.
Is there a way to report this somehow to the WordPress developers?

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandHi again
OK so here’s a quick screencast of me clicking the collapsible menus prior to updating the post page, and then ‘trying’ to click them after updating (nothing happens).
https://screencast.com/t/cVnR3uOhB5v
Also, the WYSIWGY editor goes blank. And clicking ‘text’ or ‘visual’ seems to make no difference. Having said that, the post does seem to have saved as the added text now shows on the live post on the blog’s homepage.
I was going to show you the code via screencast but realized it’s best if I just saved the ‘view source’ of the backend post page. Here it is:

I thought that the issue *may* be to do with Google’s mod_pagespeed but this current test (i.e. screencast and source file) was done with mod_pagespeed turned *off*. So I’m stumped. ??

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandSure I can take a screenshot. Do you mean a screenshot of the source code before and after? Or of the actual interface itself?

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandIt’s concerning as I want to upgrade but the fact that the collapsible menus stop working, mean I can’t use it. Here’s the site blog (fresh install, no plugins or themes installed):

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandHi again
Q: Did your host send you any server error logs?
A: They told me that they couldn’t see any errors in the logs that would relate to this problem
Q. Did they suggest to deactivate all plugins? Did they force a default theme to rule out a theme issue?
A. This last test blog is a fresh install – so it’s just working out of the box, no extra plugins or themes added.
Q. Did they then do a Manual Update of site?
A. Well it’s happened to all 3 blogs on my server. 2 on one domain. And the most recent (a test blog with fresh install, no plugins installed, default theme used, using default ‘hello world’ post and ‘sample page’ page).
Thoughts?

In reply to: 3.8 Post/Page menus in backend won't collapse / expandTried latest browser versions of Chrome, Firefox, and I.E. via Windows 7. All cleared caches. Also asked my web host’s support to try (in case it was my computer) and they got the same thing. ??
