In reply to: [WooCommerce] zoom/focus of product thumbnails on product listing page@nielslange Precisely https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/media-library-resizing-images-on-upload/, but this “scaling” is being applied to only some of the pictures and thus the issue

In reply to: [WooCommerce] zoom/focus of product thumbnails on product listing page@nielslange To get to the second image, You will need to press the icon that shows up when you hover on the product. Attached snapshot. The link for the second image does not have “scaled” in its name. Which is why it shows up zoomed in. I would like to know how can they all show up with the same focus. I think i read the images get “scaled” and have scaled in the name when image is greater than a certain size. What can I do to address this problem?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Images show up with different focus on product listing page@seank123 I have just set it to Uncropped (did not regenerate thumbnails yet). It seem to have changed with that but this is how it looks now:

In reply to: [WooCommerce] unpublished products not listed@riaanknoetze CSV importer was used

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Unable to use image@rk: I am using CSV import function that comes with the core WooCommerce plugin itself.
I had to use “import from server” plugin to import images from server (from folder mentioned) to wp media
@corsonr Thanks much for your response. That looks like a feasible option to me since I can have people add just the image name.
So Am I right in assuming that link imports will not work (if the Link is to an external service?) If it should, could you share a service that it should work with? Sorry about asking again! I am just trying to make sure that we adapt the right way here.
@hannah Also, regarding the download link, I also tried with https://viaalux.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/AEMIC_CRX016-49-03_Front.jpg and images were still skipped and not imported.
I trued with https://viaalux.s3.ap-south-1.amazonaws.com/AEMIC_CRX016-49-03_Front.jpg as well. The product info got imported without the image. @corsonr What are my options with a public image hosting service that I can have clients upload images to and add those links to the csv sheet that woocommerce uses for bulk import. Would be great if you could please point me in the right direction
@hannah Thanks for your response. I understand I could possibly find ways to import those images from google drive to wp media separately. My requirement is to be able to do that through woo-commerce product import sheet

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Direct image download service publically available@conschneider When getting product information from clients, We ask them to add links for product images with products that we can directly upload to wordpress. Having to replace those links with media links from wp site itself sounds like redundant work to me. Do I have an alternate for image upload by clients onto a service that they can add links of in the product import sheet and that sheet can import those images without having to fiddle with the links/images?
@hannah : Also, I was able to get direct download link of Google drive.
https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1kHXJN950GELO2dTeHrK-1NY1KGcXp_WE&export=download
When I use it in the product import sheet, I get this error for all of the image links:
Not able to attach “https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1kHXJN950GELO2dTeHrK-1NY1KGcXp_WE&export=download”.
@hannah Do we know what woo-commerce users typically use when importing images externally so that they do not have to manually manipulate the link?
Thanks . I did check for Google drive. This is what I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lebCH3l6ePc
Do we have something more like a click of button? How do people usually do it for woocommerce imports? I feel I am missing something here. I ideally would not want to ask a layman to replace/append something in a link.
