    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. If it’s of help, some of the UK newspapers online use the facility a lot and insert a significant amount of description text to narrate and hold together a series of images in a meta narrative to the main text. This text is not visible when the image is set into the main page – just the title, if that. The Telegraph uses it for some articles, as does the Guardian. Quite often for special articles, and the Telegraph has now started to lead its online presence with picture dominated/slide show led articles.
I’m sure the resold the world has cottoned on too a while ago, but I’ve not really looked in detail!!

I look forward to any developments
    Simon

    Hi,

    thanks, yes:
it’s the navigation to previous and next post from the specific post.

I’ve done a check with a couple of other (random) themes, and this option returns for these other themes. And as a result, I’ve also been through a reload for the content theme and also the spice press theme too – but no result here.

I’ve checked in the editor for the content and spice press themes and the syntax on main page looks like it’s present to enable/have this navigation.

    Help appreciated here

    thanks

thanks – I have it set up for static page already – it works OK for the main blog page as masonry.
I’ll use a plug in though to get it working for categories and searches etc.

    thanks for your help

Hi, Thanks for this – I can do this with spice press too – ie set the blog up as the home page. In fact, I started off with the content theme – both are very well suited to what I’m trying to achieve.

I liked the idea of using the “latest news” formatting for a mix of selected blog posts and other things, and as time went on, adding the other spice box options. However, when the site uses the spice box formatting, it still loses the red bar for that page. I can work this out at a later date if necessary, but if there’s an easy work around (possibly changing the business page template css?), it would be great to know.

    with thanks for your help.

thanks for the reply. Spice Box already installed. I re-installed it, and no progress unfortunately.

All the menu options are available, but no result when I activate.

    — UPDATE—
I’ve activated the page set up by changing the page templates to business. (thanks for the pointer on this). This is good and it works, but for now it causes these pages to lose the brilliant red header bar with this template, which is the main selling point for me. Perhaps you have an instruction page where I could go to and work out how to tweak the pages and the header bar for this template and also include things like twitter posts, instagram posts as well as standard blog posts. etc. on the latest news section. I realise some of this will be WP native other than your theme, but I had hoped the plug-in would make this straightforward.
It’s still the right theme for my site though – thanks

    thanks

…figured it. Obvious now! Populate the menu first!
    thanks anyway.
