WP Admin > Testimonials > Settings and click “Save Changes” and see if your first problem is solved after undoing the post category assignment?
That seemed to do it, Thanks! While in there, I also noticed that the most of the tabs in the settings area don’t respond.
UPDATE … I solved the display problem by assigning a unique post category to the testimonials and identifying that category in the widget “Selection Options.” Not sure if this is how it was intended to work (I thought the widget used an auto-generated testimonials category?). Also, the new testimonials sidebar menu is a bit confusing, as categories and tags show those for all posts, not just testimonials.

In reply to: Custom CSS on certain imagesI believe you can assign the class to an image by using the “advanced” options in the image settings, after the image has been inserted on the page.
Webserver is on shared hosting (BlueHost) and the Dropbox account is synced with the computer I am using to run backup job. (Firefox 18.0.2 Mac 10.7.5). When I disconnect from DropBox app on the Mac, the backup jobs seem to run just fine. Even when the progress bar stalls, however, the backup files are still uploaded to Dropbox. Weird, I know…

In reply to: [Custom Widget Area] Which CSS rules are in play?Update: Well, I know I didn’t do this the right way, but at least the icons are the correct size right now. I still can’t figure out why they won’t display in a horizontal row, so I parked the div on the right side and narrowed it so it didn’t interfere with the search box.
Here’s the (badly constructed) CSS:/* STYLE FOR CUSTOM WIDGET AREA - SOCIAL MEDIA - IN HEADER */ #header-social { list-style: none; margin: -135px 15px 0px 0px; padding-left: 0px; font-size: 14px; border: none; border-spacing:0; line-height: 0px; color: #777777; float: right; width:5%; height: 120px; } .smw_left { text-align: left; float: right; }
Would be most grateful for any advice to get to display in a horizontal row. Many thanks!!!
Okay, here’s a version of the error that I’ve been able to reproduce: The files actually upload to dropbox fine, but the progress bar hangs at 50%. This seems to happen only when my computer (Mac OS 10.7.5) is connected to the dropbox account. When I disconnect dropbox before running the backup job, it runs fine.

In reply to: WP 3.5 – any way to default "Add Media" to "Upload Files"?Thanks for the link @thomas!
Has anyone tried this other fix? This trac says the slowness is because the media uploader uses full-size images as thumbnails, so it’s especially problematic with larger images… https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/23292
UPDATE: When I unchecked use maintenance mode, it worked fine.

I’m having the same problem with the DropBox upload freezing… I have one site where it works and another where it freezes. They both have the same active plugins, running WP3.5.1. Main difference between backup job setups is that on one site, I enabled maintenance mode for the backup, and I also included DB optimize in the job along with backing up tables and files. They are also on two different hosts: The working one is on BlueHost, the non-working one is on DreamHost. (Though I do have another site on DreamHost where it works fine.) Maybe this will help track it down?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: WP 3.5 – any way to default "Add Media" to "Upload Files"?DEAR WP:
I still love you, but please add mine to the requests to either provide a choice to use the old media uploader, or fix the new one — SOON! Among other things, I’ve found that:
1. it doesn’t behave nicely with a very stable premium jquery slider plugin (Revolution Slider) I’ve used for a long time (doesn’t display the option to select an image size and defaults to thumbnail or medium size randomly). Reverting to 3.4.2 solves the problem.
2. Unless I clear the browser cache (Firefox, Chrome, & Safari on Mac 10.7.5) frequently, it will freeze the browser completely & I have to force quit.
3. Image titles don’t display
4. It’s horribly slow.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: WordPress 3.5 Image/Media uploader many issues+1 on number 3, except that I can’t exit the uploader. Must force-quit the browser instead. (Firefox 18.0.1 on Mac OS 10.7.5 WP 3.5.1 Twenty Eleven Child theme)
Also, has anyone discovered a way to see the media file names in the visual media grid? (I’m not seeing them on rollover — or at all.)

In reply to: "Add New" media process freezes. Unable to upload new imagesI’ve found that clearing the browser cache does help temporarily, but I’d love to understand why this is happening…. when it freezes, I have to restart the browser and it’s a real PITA! Any clues?

I added a filter in the content-single-php file and that worked.
I haven’t been able to solve the problems, unfortunately. I don’t think author is interested. For accordians, I’m using jquery collapse-o-matic plugin now. Lightweight & nice shortcodes.
