In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to list single product with price variationsOh good! I’m happy to hear that.
Thanks for letting me know ??
Ugh! I have been having the same problem!
Initially my variation menus were all working properly, but now I can only use some of them, and one always says “Choose options” but it isn’t giving any options. It is very confusing! I had 4 different attributes and many different variables so I assume WooCommerce isn’t meant to handle so many variations. I removed one of the attributes to reduce the number of variables, but it hasn’t helped.
Let me know if you get this sorted out! I have spent a lot of time trying to fix it on my site…I’d hate to have to scrap the whole project.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] How to list single product with price variationsI am pretty sure I understand what you want to do, so based on my understanding here is what I think you should do:
Go to “Attributes” on the WooCommerce sidebar in your admin area. Type in “Quantity” then click the button to “Add new attribute.” Now the Quantity attribute should appear on the screen with a button to “Configure Terms.” Click Configure Terms.
Now type “1/4 oz” in the Name field then click “Add new term” (down towards the bottom). Repeat this step for your remaining quantities.
Now go to the product editing page for the Body Oil. In the area for “Product Data” change the product type to “Variable Product.” Now click on the “attributes” tab. Select “Quantity” from the dropdown menu then click “Add.” Now you need to save these new changes.
Once you save that draft, scroll back down to your Product Data section and click on the tab for “variations.” Look for the button that says “Link all variations” and click it. The page should then populate with a list of variations. I think in your case there will be three of them. Click on each one individually and provide the price info and perhaps the quantity in your inventory. The product can inherit the other details like tax, shipping, etc. from the parent product (it pulls the info from the other tabs in the product data area). Now you should update your page and view the product. I think that will accomplish what you are trying to do.
Let me know!
I am with you on this! It would be SOOO much easier to create variable products if WooCommerce could assign a price to each variable and then add them together for the product cost.
I have found that if I don’t specify a quantity of items of a certain variable (despite disabling “manage stock” and selecting “in stock” from the drop down) it will not appear as an option on the product page.
Have you created any Attributes with child Attributes? I attempted to, but things are not working as I expect (instead of a dropdown of variables I just see “select an option” but can’t click on it). The documentation on the Woo site is not detailed enough and their “Support” seriously sucks.
Good Luck!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Product VariationsHello!
I’ve been struggling with setting up variations on my site, but I have hundreds of possible variations…so I’d be happy to rest my brain a little bit and try to help you with your issue. Maybe it will give me ideas on how to fix mine.
First you should click on the attributes option in your WP admin sidebar. Follow the on screen instructions to add new attributes to set-up the following attributes: Country and Length of Subscription.
After those are created you can view a list of the attributes and there should be an option to “Configure Terms.” Click on Configure Terms for Country and add the following: US, Canada, INTL. Save. Then “Configure Terms” for the length of subscription as follows: One Year, Two Year, Three Year. Save.
Now go back to your product list (by clicking “products” on the sidebar) and click Edit to edit the specific product that will need these variations. On the product editing page scroll down to the Product Data interface and open the attributes tab. From here you need to select the attributes that will apply to this product. Now click on the Save Draft button.
Scroll back down to the Product Data interface and change the product type to “Variable Product,” then open the “Variations” tab. Then click the button to “Link All Variations.” Now, one by one open the toggle for each variation and enter data for that specific combo of variables (you will probably only need to give the price info). Information like shipping, dimensions, or tax can be inherited from the parent product (controlled by settings you choose in the other tabs in the Product Data section).
I hope that answers your question! If not, let me know what happens.
Cheers
