Thank you for your support. I checked again a few minutes ago and the plugin started working again.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Widgets for Google Reviews] cURL error 28First, thank you for looking into this.
I just cleared my browser cache, deleted and then reinstalled the plugin. I turned off all other plugins.
Unfortunately, the error is still there. The source is found, but after clicking on “Connect”, the error message"Error with wp_remote_post, error message: cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10003 milliseconds"
appears after a few seconds.- This reply was modified 3 years, 4 months ago by Sixtus78.

In reply to: [Widgets for Google Reviews] cURL error 28Same error for me.
Thank you for you help and time Champ.
Deleting the plugin and all users was the only thing that finally helped.
Thanks again for being so reactive here!
Kind regards,

Unfortunately, this isn’t it. The setting “Allow users to hide their profiles from directory” is turned off.
Just found out that when adding new members of the same role, these are shown. Existing members are not.
Is it possible that older members are not shown when adding new fields to the registration form?@champsupertramp
Thank you very much Champ! This is very kind of you. I am using UM Version 2.1.16 with WP 5.7.
These are the settings for the member directory:
Settings Member DirectoryHere is the user role (“H?ndler”) that is listed in the directory:
Screenshot Custom Role “H?ndler”I just cross-checked the settings with my older, working example and cannot find any differences yet.
Well, but I am not talking about the frontend, I am talking about the backend ??
1) Fresh WP-Install 2) Set site-language to German 3) Set language of Admin-User to English
=> Backend menu entries of other plugins switch to English
=> UM menu entries remain German. All roles are deselected there. Still users are only shown when logged in.

@champsupertramp
Your answers do not fit the discussion. Whether translation files are working or not, if they are complete or not, was not the question. Nobody said that the translation files are not working. We do know how to translate the plugin. This topic is about what language is chosen. The user specific setting seems to be ignored in favor of the site setting.
My admin user is set to English. When I am logged in as Admin, my other plugins are correctly shown in English. But Ultimate Member sticks to German, which is the site setting. This is annoying.
My translation plugin doesn’t break the calendar. I have this problem without a translation plugin. So I do not understand your last reply.

I don’t understand your answer.
Is it a bug in the plugin, that it generates translations in its links? I don’t want to install a big translation plugin to fix this one. It is just a quick workaround.
I installed Loco Translate for the single purpose of fixing the broken URL’s problem.
For ‘event’, the plugins translation file has the German string ‘Veranstaltung’. I overwrite the German translation with ‘event’. Then the URL’s are generated correctly again. Does this answer your question? I translate only one string as a workaround. Without the Loco Translate fix I cannot get AIOEC running – it generates those links with ‘/Veranstaltung/’ in it.For the second problem, the string ‘There are no upcoming events to display at this time.’ translated correctly after deactivating W3 Total Cache. I’m troubleshooting with other plugins turned off right now.
