Me, too, Denzel. I work mostly in publishing as a book editor. I am also an historical novelist. I do website work on the side. I make very little money at all the things I do. I think we should not value ourselves by an arbitrary measure of success like how much money we make. My husband is divorcing me after 23 and a half years. His biggest complaint about me is that I never made enough money. But I am smart and funny, and I raised our two kids, and I always worked part-time. I even worked in his business for free for seven years, but he completely discounts that because it was in our home. It can get you upset if you let it. I have friends who love me and say I am “all heart,” and they like being around me. That means more than money. We all end up in the same place, dead, and how you treat people and how much you can love and be loved is all that matters. I think you are wealthy in many ways. Cheers!

Oh Denzel, I am disappointed. I thought everything could be done with CSS! ?? If only we could make the clickable space, that tiny area at the very bottom bigger. Can we do that at least?

That did it. Unfortunately , it got rid of the dark green line at the top that matched the site’s background image, too, but we can live with that.
If there is no way to keep it, then we will go without.

That removed the thin dark line but that is not what I am trying to do.

I am trying to remove the bigger section of white space marked “how do I remove this space?”

The arrows were to show you that I want the nav menu to move up under the thin dark 10 px line.

I don’t know how to make my question clearer. Sorry, I am failing at this.

Thanks that did the trick. I thought I had seen the border already set to 0 so figured there was something else, but I put it in the custom CSS section and added !important et voila, no ugly line at top.

Thanks Denzel. I stupidly thought the nav code above was for changing the nav when regular, not on hover. So when I tried it before, I just didn’t see the nav entries change because I wasn’t hovering over them.

I’ve got it now. Also, I had figured the read-more code from the forum here, but thank you. There is so much great info here. Lovely theme.

Denzel, I am actually trying to change the color of other font but will look for that next. This caught my eye because changing the nav bar color was next on my list. I tried putting exactly the code above in the Custom CSS and absolutely nothing happened.
