OK, because support took too long, I was forced to restore to my last back up. My website is back up in running. Warning to everyone:

Updating to WP-Meta-Tags version 2.0 will break your website if you are running WordPress 4.4

Hopefully they will come out with version 2.1 to fix this soon. In the meantime just don’t update the plugin.

Its Monday night in the UK now and I must get my website back up. Its been down for 3 days! If I don’t hear from support soon, I will be forced to restore to an older version of my site from backup. That means I will loose some data because my last backup was more than a month ago. Please help soon!

This same problem happened on all my sites using WP-Meta-Tags!

On my other sites, I disabled the plugin by changing the name of the plugin using FTP.
I did not do that on this site yet as I want you to see the problem with your own eyes.
This is a temp fix as I lost all my meta tags while I am waiting for support.
    Please help.

    Yes,same thing happened to me!
It was working perfect until the WordPress 4.4 update was installed.
Now I have a Parse error and no more website!

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected

Here is a trick that will get you website back up temporarily (but with no Meta Tags):

Using FTP or File Manager from your host, you can change the name of the plugin. Go to wp-content/plugins/wp-meta-tags and change the name of the plugin (I put an “x” in front of it ex: xwp-meta-tags). This disables the plugin and lets you back in so you can get to the admin and it also gets rid of the parse error.

This is not a permanent fix!
After doing this you will now have no Meta Tags!

Personally I am waiting for support.
This way after they fix it, I wont have to start from scratch with all Meta Descriptions, Keywords, Titles, etc…

    Good luck!

Excellent find! Thank you so much! I will look closer at the themes and maybe one of them will do the trick! It sure would be great to eliminate an expense of $200 a month and do everything myself in WordPress. My Talent Agency can really benefit from the savings and I can become the webmaster! This way I can update all the models profiles with current information and current photos! It will be fun! Thanks again!

Maybe there is a theme available for a Talent agency or a modeling agency? If there is, I could just upload all the talent, models and impersonators onto the new WordPress website. If anyone knows of such a theme, please let me know?
