I just had a similar experience. The default folder was changed to the dots and dashes above. I was able to restore the setting within the admin panel in Options > Miscellaneous – Uploading. How did it get changed? I am using an older version of WP. Could a strange comment that could not be deleted by Askimet have been the culprit? It was post dated and had no other data. It was preceded by another with an other comment with a name and email address but no comment. I had to manually delete the post dated comment.

The acronyms were used to protect the innocent.
You can use the letters in Scottish to make the word I used.
The “u” in Tourism will help make another.

Turn the visual editor off and see if that works.
Go to users, Your Profile and deselect the Use the visual editor when writing checkbox.
Click Update Profile and you should be good to go.

I have completed a new theme and I have used a 301 redirect to redirect the little traffic I have to my new site wpthemez.com.

I have not tried this with WP 2.2, but I have had success with fGallery .

Unless you definitely must have your own domain, perhaps you should consider using WordPress.com.

It looks like it is nearly 3 years old.
What version of WP are you using?

You are right, your post is not getting published. If you go to Manage > Posts, do you see it there? If it is there, you should be able to click the “view” link associated with your post. If you can see your post and it looks fine I would suggest that your theme’s index page is missing “the loop” .

Switch back to the default theme and see if your post is there. If it is, it is your current theme that needs some work.

Try going to Users > Your Profile, and reselecting the Use the visual editor when writing option.

Did you go to Options > Privacy Options and select :
