A few questions, I am having to do the same thing. When exporting in 1and1… Do you check any extra tabs? I dont know what to check when exporting, and when importing the new one do you go to SQL, you go to Query Window and click import files then import the gz file correct? Now after that and everything is uploaded (i uploaded before I found this post) and I cant take my plugins off, except maybe remove them from the server then upload them again after the upgrade

But right now I might not be clicking the right stuff to export cause when I import, im getting this:

Ok the htaccess thing worked.. but it still gives me an error 500

Another problem I found with the upgrade is anytime I write a new post, it goes to a 500 Error Internal Server Error and does nothing. I go back to my blog and see the post has been made but it still keeps giving me that error. Whats the problem with that!

Add those words to my htaccess file? Thats it?

I found out its a free account under windows hosting i think thats the reason right? I will get him to switch it to a linux account and see if i can get him to pay monthly.. I did some more research on the hosting so ill see what i can do!

Ok, so far, i think things might work. I removed the alex king mobile plugin and also changed my theme folder name to default and default is now default2. ill reply if it doesn’t work after that.

Can someone better help me? I went through searching for a week now and still havn’t found a working answer.

Thanks for the quick reply. There are some things that I wanted to pop out of the bounding box like Jaiku and i think something else but other than that on IE 7 and FF it looks exaclty how i programmed it but i cant find a line of code thats making it go to the bottom.

Where is the code to determine the gap between the content and sidebar? I know the containers are all small enough cause i went back and resized them even.

Ok I got the centering fixed, but as of right now I have IE 7 on this computer, the other computer is in use, does IE 6 still have my sidebar at the bottom? cause everything else seems fine now. I had to go reread the template i used css and i found what i did wrong. Always a stupid mistake.
