In reply to: [Modern Events Calendar Lite] How to control look of Single Detailed EventHi there,
Thank you for your reply!
The above class did the trick and worked nicely!!!
Although it wasn’t because of the header being transparent. I changed it to non-transparent and issue came back. Anyway, maybe something theme-related.My final question would be how would I set a class for mobile:
.mec-single-event .mec-events-event-image {as in screenshot to reduce the margin from header to event’s image? I tried putting a ‘mobile’ element to above class but since I’m doing it wrong, it didn’t work.
Could you please help me with this?
Thank you very much!
Thanks!
Hi,
This is proving wayyyy more complex than I’d like to deal with right now!I have moved to a different plugin that’s providing all the functionality I need and for free!
Thanks anyway!
Note: Why would you automatically ‘Resolve’ my thread?? It just shows that you’re not willing to clarify/help your potential customers any further – that’s not the way to go forward my friend ??

In reply to: [Modern Events Calendar Lite] How to control look of Single Detailed EventHello there and thank you for your reply!!
I will consider the add on’s, but for now, here is that screenshotagain of my single event page and the weird way it displays, ( I hope it works this time as I used a different image hosting service).
If you can give me an idea of why it could possibly display like this, I’d be grateful.Note: I already disabled all plugins to eliminate any conflict issues, but it still displayed the same.

In reply to: [Modern Events Calendar Lite] Comments on Single EventHi,
Sorry to say these options do not work for me. I tried both and comments are not checked, however, they still show up!!So hi Mr plugin Author,
From what I realise, questions you don’t know the answer to, or have a solution, you just decide to ignore??
I have 2 open tickets, but no answers for the last 2-3 days.Hi,
Anyone here to help out please??Hi there,
I thought I’d post here rather than create a new thread!
I tried 3 different duplicating plugins and while they all worked in Posts, ,Pages and other, theme-related custom post types, they never worked for your plugin.
Do you have any specific plugin that works and duplicates events? Because creating new events when as mentioned above, they’re 90% the same – it’s time-consuming and counter-productive!Thank you
Thanks for taking the time to help me out here!
I found quite a few aspects that seem to be hard-coded and non-changeable! But, first things, first:
Do you intend on making this plugin page-builder compatible at all? That would be super helpful, especially for Elementor and WP native block builder.
Now for my questions above:1. I didn’t mean the URL structure at all. I meant the single-event page that users end up after clicking on the Event summary itself. How would I edit this? Do I need to override files and copy them to my child theme?
For questions 2 & 3 I will have a go at overriding them and trying to change things from there, (example, page background of single-event, I want to match that of my theme).
On the URL you gave me about ‘Overriding files via a Theme’, at the end of documentation it mentions that I need to update version number when I update the plugin. Can you please briefly describe how I do that??Question 4:
About comments, while I know how to generally turn them off, this doesn’t work for my ‘single-event’ page. I can’t turn it off from Admin cause this page doesn’t exist in admin, which is why I asked (in questions 1,2 and 3), how can I manipulate this page! While turning off comments in Admin, (for posts through Settings > Discussion), this doesn’t apply to this page!Question 6:
So is there a way to redirect to a different page if user clicks on an Event?? That would be super useful, because then I could design that page to match my theme exactly and add some navigation so that users can go back to Event Summary page!!!Hope this all makes sense!!
Thanks again for your time!!
Hi @shamim51
Thanks for taking the time to help me out!Well, my Goodness! I found the ‘ghost key’ that kept appearing all the time as wrong. I had somehow left from localhost this ghost key in ‘contact > Integration > reCAPTCHA’, which is where it was pulling it from!
Removed them, boom, my other 2 forms worked like a charm. My main one, kept telling me I had a field wrong, which was not the case. I had placed the shortcode above submit – which caused the error. Since I’m now using v3 recaptcha, I don’t need to put that there-right?
The minute I removed it – it worked too!!Thank you again! You saved a lot of heartache…
Hey Thanks for the answer!
nope. If you use date fields they should display as is. I will run a test on ma mac to double check.
I thought you said I should use text fields instead as datefields?!
that’s because you’re using the datepicker on a ‘date’ field. I instructed you to use the datepicker on a ‘text’ field.
Have you ran the test on a mac? Did your dates display fine in Safari?
I’m really eager to make this work so I can use it in future projects too. So any help/clarification would be great!!
So basically I can’t avoid the use of another plugin to make this work?
One way around this issue if to use the jQuery Datepicker plugin by turning text fields into date fields.
I followed your link but correct me if I’m wrong – it’s not really a plugin but a script I have to include somewhere? This is turning too complex perhaps for me.
Could you elaborate a little bit as to where do I include this datepicker script as per your previous instructions? Also, the dates displayed fine, (without having to do anything), in Safari before release of 3.o.3. Did anything change with latest release?
Thanks
