  • Have the same thing when testing locally on XAMPP.

Works OK on the HostGator server.

Might be something with file permissions or something like that.

Would like to hear from somebody.

I know it looks logical to go for a designed reservation system. However, our B&B is a Korean House in Zagreb Croatia. My wife is Korean. They do things a bit different.

Currently she makes booking through their chat called Kakao Talk. Kakao is very popular in Korea. Looks to me like ALL Koreans are on Kakao talk. Her booking goes through one to one chat. They go through in a few posts.

On my side I’ve done some EXCEL macros to help her with reservation.

The next step should be to put that chat on our web site somehow. It is what other Korean Guesthouses do. The idea behind putting it on the site is for other potential guests to see that our booking is “active”. At least that’s how I understand this “Korean way” bit.

Found many Korean guest houses on web. All have a similar booking system.Im sending one link in your “contact me” as an example. Looks to me the whole site is done in WP. As what I red about WP that page might even be done by some very basic WP tool.

That is what is driving to WP. Looks I wasted a lot of time doing things the way I’ve done it. Never late to turn the right way.

Don’t feel so confident to let booking/billing/payments being done on-line out of my “direct control”, by some database on some server, somewhere far away. Concerned about availability, flexibility and consistency of it.

Working on an EXCEL macro set to take care of the booking/billing off-line on my side.

What I’m looking for currently is to enable users and “administrators” to communicate on-line privately. Suppose some kind of password system to be involved. User to set a password on the post(booking request) he/she sends to us. Only the particular user that set the password and “administrators” to be able to see/comment/reply the posts. The “administrators” to be users delegated by the WP administrator as well as the WP administrator itself.

All other visitors are able to see the posts/replies/comments listing and timing but can’t read the posts they did not open themselves.

Not sure I’m making sense at all. New to blogging, forumming, WP, etc.

A bit oldie, coming from another world. Before landing here in Croatia used to be a turbine start-up engineer.

Have been through the lessons. Things starting to make sense. Finally !

Have a decent idea about how to put what I have done into WP. However, need to go further then moving the existing stuff only .

Want to have on-line community around my wife Koran Guest House here in Zagreb. https://arirang.hr

The main thing is booking. A private communication involved. Here is an example what another Korean Guest House does. Looking around I see it is a kind of standard way for Korean Guest Houses booking.

    https://innyhouse.cafe24.com/default/app/sm2.php?topmenu=3&submenu=2

Want to have something similar. A language mix involved, English, Korean and Croatian.

What directions to take? Is that done by bbPress or something else?

Thanks a lot for the lead.

Started from zero few month ago. Picked up a host service (Coffee Cup) that don;t allow any server side work except done by their own applications. Worked OK for me until I picked up the web basics. Then I realized all the limitations I had.

Now moved my hosting to HostGator to start from zero again.

Actually it’s not trough zero. As soon copied all the files there the thing WORK. Nice surprise.

Have another domain now. It’s arirang.hr.

I’ll follow your leads as soon I got though with admin etc.

Might come back with more questions… ??
