Thanks for adding text shadows guys ??

I’m not exactly sure, I check the dashboard everyday hoping there’s an update from you, but I’m not seeing it. Do I have to Install it manually?

one thing tho… I have to re-add CSS shadow to the group cover photo text (the group title and description) every time you guys update the plugin.

any way you can add text shadow by default?

It makes the text stand out on any cover photo, which is nice. Otherwise it can be difficult to read (if a user uploads a really ‘busy’ photo, eg: lots of light colors)

thankfully all seems to be working the way it should now!

I removed the single line “add_action(‘wp_head’,’bp_cover_gallery_pop’);”

..at least I think that’s the one, if not then it was the other one.

okay… this isn’t resolved quite yet. (he says hoping there’s somebody out there that actually gives a damn…)

My “solution” only caused both the cover photo and the avatar to disappear. I didn’t notice this at first because of CloudFlare’s caching.

FML.

solved it myself.

removed these 2 lines from bp-cover.php:

add_action('wp_head','bp_cover_gallery_pop');

add_action('bp_before_member_header','cover_image_scr');

update:

it’s not the theme. I tried 3 other themes and they all run into this problem. big ugly grey space with the cover photo (if it’s a group post) in the header of every attachment page

I solved my problem.

If anybody else is having similar issues.. I recommend a plugin called ‘Dynamic Widgets’ – you can truly get full control over where they show up.

I used the URL exception rule.. simply typed */profile/ in the box so it hides all the unnecessary widgets on only pages ending in /profile/

oh, and I did manage to create new sidebars.. I just need to know how to switch them on the profile page

Yeah, they do only show up on the profile page.

But that’s not the issue..

What I’m looking to accomplish is have separate sidebars so ONLY the profile widgets are there.

Another way might be to get a plugin that hides the other widgets on the profile page? But seeing as the profile page is generated from some kind of template file.. I don’t see how this would be possible (I’ve used similar plugins in the past, and they only allow you to exclude widgets from actual “Pages”)

Okay.. one more question…

I got them working perfectly fine, but they’re added ontop of other sidebar widgets that make the profile look crowded.

So I created some new sidebars, and added the widgets.. but now I’m wondering.. how do you change the sidebars on the profile page?

I’ve been looking through the Buddypress files on FTP, and I can’t seem to find the line of code to change the sidebar ID’s

Any help is much appreciated ??

Deactivated all my plugins, and re-activated the ones I actually use

Didn’t feel like figuring out which one was causing the problem, so its still a mystery.. but hey – the plugin’s working great!
