In reply to: [Extra Product Sorting Options for WooCommerce] some issues w version 5.8Hey @twies ,
Thanks for contacting us about Extra Product Sorting Options! I’m happy to help out ??
There shouldn’t be any issues with Extra Product Sorting Options and the latest versions of WordPress and WooCommerce. I tested this locally just to verify with an older version of WordPress and 5.8 and the results were the same.
Can you please let me know which sort you are using when you see the issue? Also, would you please let me know the issues you are seeing in search?
Cheers,
Steve

In reply to: [Product SKU Generator for WooCommerce] Is it compatible with Version: 5.6.2Hey @helbetica,
We are still maintaining this plugin and offer support for it. The plugin hasn’t needed any updates since the last major WooCommerce version was released and we will be sure to update the plugin when it is needed for compatibility with any future WooCommerce updates. The plugin works well with WordPress 5.6.2 based on my tests.
Did you run into any particular errors while testing the plugin in a WordPress 5.6.2 or WooCommerce 5.5.2 environment? I’d be happy to help track down any incompatibilities you’ve found!`
Cheers,
Steve
SkyVergeWonderful! Glad that you were able to put together a solution for this!
Thank you so much for sharing your snippet here, this will be quite helpful for other merchants that are looking to add the SKU’s for variable products. Much appreciated ??

SkyVergeHey @rosalynteltronix,
Thanks for writing to us about our Product SKU Generator plugin! Happy to help ??
The reply that you referenced here was to assist with the merchant’s need to create unique SKU’s for each variation, which could have been potentially accomplished with the Never setting in place. It turned out that to meet their needs, they had to get some customizations to the plugin added.
Can you please let me know how you are looking to format your SKU’s? I can then see if we might be able to find something that would work for your scenario.
Cheers,
Steve
Hey @blackchrome ,
Thanks for contacting us about Extra Product Sorting Options! I’m happy to help out ??
The plugin will allow you to set up extra sort options from the core WooCommerce sorting, but it won’t help with getting a single product category to display on the shop page.
I did a bit of searching on this and found a couple of solutions, though they would entail adding a bit of custom code. You might want to try out the options referenced in this StackExchange discussion to get the layout that you are looking for.
Hope that the ideas on the page help get you to set up your shop page ??
Can you please let me know if you have any additional questions?
Cheers,
Steve

It might be that a conflict is responsible for this issue, so I’d like to try to rule out a theme conflict first.
Would you please temporarily switch to a default theme, such as Twenty Nineteen, and let me know if the issue persists? If it does persist, not to worry, I’ll have some other troubleshooting steps for you to follow.
If swapping themes does resolve the issue, it would appear to be a theme conflict.
Would you please let me know how the theme switch went?

SkyVergeHey @palijn
I reached out directly to our product team on this, just to check the feasibility of getting this in place from our end.
As`we need to conform to the sorting arguments made available in the woo filter we use, which allows very basic manipulation of the order and orderby arguments, we can’t incorporate another meta key => value pair as a fallback option. the fallback, in this filter, must use a WordPress core orderby option.
What you’re looking to do would require a custom query, which would be best done in a custom template and not using the existing WooCommerce pages. This type of customization would be outside of our support policy, though I can recommend some developers that could assist in this.
Regrettably, due to this, it won’t be something that we will be able to incorporate into future versions of the plugin, but we do appreciate your feedback!
Sorry that I don’t have better news for you on this! Can you please let me know if you have any questions?
Cheers,
Steve

No worries! You may want to reach out to their support forum on this and see if they can offer any assistance for you ??

SkyVergeHey @jonathanlitscher ,
Thanks for providing the email!
These changes shouldn’t have any impact on the Braintree plugin or require any changes. If you are using a PayPal Standard checkout and have any ACL or Filters in place, this would require some changes there, but no changes will be needed with our Braintree plugin.
Can you please let me know if you have any additional questions?
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for clarifying that. You mentioned that you are running 3.1.8, are you using the Braintree plugin from here:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woo-payment-gateway
Or this one:
https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-powered-by-braintree/
Just want to make sure we are referring to the same plugin ??
