Thanks for the tip, MickeyRoush. Did this once before due to another issue. Reinstalled and everything was great until this YouTube redirect came along. I’ve since abandoned this plugin. Great functionality when it worked but too problematic to continue using.
I’ve searched the forums but can’t seem to find anything related to this issue…

Help? Anyone?

Quick update on the situation: having tried several times and finally disabled the automatic-youtube-posts plugin as MickeyRoush suggested, the URL is no longer being redirected to YouTube. Currently looking into why this was happening and will report back with an answer when and if I find out. ??

Good question MickeyRoush. Just tried that very thing and I get the following message:

Your attempt to deactivate this plugin: “automatic-youtube-video-posts/tern_wp_youtube.php” has failed.

My client reported earlier today that her new YouTube videos weren’t posting to the site, so obviously there’s something going on here. Any ideas?

Still plugging away…seems one of the issues is that TinyMCE seems to be stripping out my markup whenever I update the page. Could this be part of the problem? Aye, aye, aye, my head hurts. ??

This is by far the best thread I’ve found on this subject. It just occurred to me however, that I might just edit out the “meta-sep” and “author vcard” spans in my CSS using “display: none” and that worked. Is this an acceptable alternative to editing the code in functions.php, or would you guys recommend against it?

Hi there, Ipstenu. Thanks for the reply. No, we don’t want that at all. We do want clients to be able to log-in to the site, but not as WordPress users. When you suggest creating a matching theme, do you mean duplicating the design outside of WordPress and connecting that site to their case management database?
