And anyone who does stumble upon this, know that the code from the above links do not work for a trial period within a level (it will block the entire level). Also know that if you make a trial level, that level will remain in your customer’s face after they use it, creating a terrible user experience. And finally, know that if you do not use one of these ‘recipes’ of theirs, your trial periods can be abused over and over again.
@strangerstudios So kind of you to not try and charge people $300 anymore for a partial fix to a problem that shouldn’t exist in the first place.

You mark this as resolved again… and you think you’re slick by continually trying to sell your garbage $300 membership through these WordPress forums just to access some content that will tell you how to manually fix a problem that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
Your site is outdated, your plugin is outdated, your solutions are outdated. Your customers must be a bunch of boomers who don’t know any better. I have three clients who all own local businesses that have been using your plugin, one paying for your plus package, but not anymore. Be ready for a horrible review.
Good riddance

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite Conflict with WeDevs WP Project ManagerHello, sorry for the delay but email updates seem to not be working on this thread. Thank you for taking the time to look into this. I believe that you are correct and I will take it up with the other plugin devs.
Thanks again

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite conflict with JobBoardWPHello, I tested the new update and now when uploading a company logo it throws a 404 error and displays a broken image.
I looked into it and it seems to be querying an incorrect file path:
mysite.com/jobboardwp/temp/company_logo_9c483292dcaeb97f6ab849e4b2c257c18d87ec41.png
Instead of the correct uploads file path (not using rewrite names for sake of communicating the file path):
mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/jobboardwp/temp/company_logo_9c483292dcaeb97f6ab849e4b2c257c18d87ec41.png
Assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite conflict with JobBoardWPHi @dave05 wrong thread. I am talking about a different plugin here (JobBoardWP) and only referenced a similar issue that I had experienced with WP Job Manager. Also, you are asking for help from the WP Job Manager team here and this is for WP Hide & Security Enhancer. It would be best for you to open a new thread in the WP Job Manager support forum.

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite Conflict with WeDevs WP Project Manager@jarryd-long … if you’re going to respond at least read the thread.
As already stated:
I tested the code you offered it and does not work unless you dedicate an entire level as a trial period, and when you create an entire level as a trial period, it just stays visible regardless if you used it or not, which is another problem in and of itself.
I specifically stated that I was referring to adding a trial period (1 free billing cycle) to a recurring subscription, and if I implement that code it blocks the entire level. So again, why would you include a feature that can be so obviously abused and require custom code to tie up the loose end?
A trial period (1 free billing cycle) on a recurring subscription level should only be able to be used once per user, and if canceled, the user should be able to just purchase the same recurring subscription level without the free trial period, not be blocked completely from the level and not have a free trial subscription level always in their face when they obviously can’t use it.
And just to put an emphasis on the issues here: requiring custom code to stop users from abusing a clear flaw is ridiculous. This free trial flaw completely negates the purpose of a paid membership solution. There is not a single scenario where it makes sense to allow unlimited free trials, you might as well just not have a paid membership at all.
And remove the ‘Resolved’ tag, this is 100% not resolved. Or I can just open a new thread.

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite Conflict with WeDevs WP Project ManagerHi,
I disabled everything but Ultimate Member, Project Manager, & WP Hide and the avatar issue still remains.
To replicate:
Project Manager > New Project (or existing) > Add task > assign user > see avatars not displaying properly.

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite Conflict with WeDevs WP Project ManagerHello,
Okay, I will try that.
I use Ultimate Member + Project Manager + WP Hide

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite Conflict with WeDevs WP Project ManagerHello, I have actually confirmed it is not Ultimate Member. There was just a small bug with their default photos, which is now resolved.
The problem with WeDevs Project Manager still persists though. Avatars do not display within the task list management section.
I spoke to the WeDevs team and they confirmed the conflict.

In what scenario would the trial not be able to be abused?

In reply to: [WP Hide & Security Enhancer] Rewrite Conflict with WeDevs WP Project ManagerHello,
I think this actually may be stemming from my membership plugin ‘Ultimate Member’. It seems the plugin has issues with GET path for avatars and has stored an old rewrite path somewhere.

Hi, it has been less than a day… and is not resolved. It seems that I can’t access that post unless I pay $297. That is a little absurd. And you don’t offer anything, including your addons, a la carte? Why would the free trial feature even be written in a way that can be abused?
