Sliced Invoices does not have a field called “client_first_name”. This sounds like an issue with your form settings in CF7. I recommend double checking your form to see if you have a form field with that name, and where you mapped it to.

Many things could override the From email address, for example SMTP plugins, Transactional Email providers (Mailgun, Sendgrid, etc), or even your host. If you have any plugins like this I would start looking there first. If not check with your host, many hosts have restrictions on what you can use as a “From” email address for outgoing mail. Especially if the From address is @ a different domain than your site’s domain.

No, I’ve never used Oxygen Builder before.

Sliced Invoices keeps it’s invoice templates completely separated from your theme so as to avoid any potential conflicts. However I’ve seen some themes that go to great lengths to override our templates with their own (for example, anything based on Sage).
Sometimes it’s just impossible to stop them from doing this. If I were to guess, maybe Oxygen Builder is doing something like this, i.e. forcing it’s own template to override ours. Although since I’ve never used it I can’t say for sure.

It might be worth asking the Oxygen Builder team if there is way to prevent them modifying the templates for our Invoice/Quote post types (i.e. sliced_invoice and sliced_quote, respectively). Other than that I’m not sure what to suggest.

This plugin (i.e. Sliced Invoices, the free version) does not have any login page.

Hi @lukeseager, I have tested in WP 5.3 and I do not experience the errors you described. Perhaps it could be a conflict with one of your other plugins? I’d recommend disabling your other plugins temporarily to see if this is the case.

Also it might be a good idea to check your PHP error log for any additional clues.

Update: as of right now I’m still waiting on WordPress to re-open the plugin. After I fixed the initial issue, I sent the update to WP for approval. WP then came back with a huge list of MORE changes they are requiring (which had nothing to do at all with the original issue… but I digress.) So, I made every change they told me to do and sent another update back to them. This happened last Monday morning. So far I haven’t received any reply.

I hope WP will re-open the plugin soon. This prolonged delay is impacting a lot of people.

I just found out myself. I received an email from the WP Plugins team about some issues with the code. I’m working on an update now to meet their requirements and we’ll be back as soon as they approve it.

It’s really disappointing that WP takes such a heavy-handed “close first, ask questions later” approach. This issue could have easily been dealt without the interruption. But unfortunately we weren’t given the option.
