Hi @entreevous
Okay, let’s see if we can solve this. Can you please include these 2 things?
1. The shortcode you are trying to use.
2. The report from the System Info page of our plugin. Click here if you are unsure how to do this. https://www.slickremix.com/docs/system-info-page/Thank you,
Hi @dlomax,
Thanks for contacting us.
Our Feed Them Social Combined Streams plugin allows you to mix and match, displaying multiple social media feeds. You can choose between Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube & Pinterest. Unfortunately, we do not offer the ability to do this with WordPress blog posts.
Best regards,
Hi @entreevous,
In your WordPress dashboard, please go to Feed Them > Settings > Global Options. Then scroll down and check the “Fix Internal Server Error” checkbox, then ‘Save All Changes’.
Try again & clear the cache if the change isn’t immediate.

Hi @entreevous,
Thanks for giving us an opportunity to help. Let’s see if it fixes the problem:
note* be sure to have Admin privileges for the Facebook account you wish to display.
1. Please login to your Facebook account (then go to Settings > Business Integrations) and check the box for SlickRemix and then click the Remove button.
2. Now go to the Facebook Options page of our plugin. To ensure new token gets added delete out the old token input fields and then go to the bottom of the page and click save.
3. After the page refreshes, click the button to get a new Access Token and click Save All Changes at the bottom of the page.
4. Delete the cache from the Settings > Global Options tab of our plugin Feed Them and any other caching plugins you may have active.
5. Refresh Page.
Let me know if that works.
Thanks for contacting us. I am happy to help.
For years, we had easy access to (displaying) Instagram hashtags. Unfortunately, we have a couple hoops to jump through now.
About a year ago, when Facebook took over Instagram’s API, they completely removed developer access to IG hashtags in accordance with Facebook’s API / Privacy Policy. They have, only just now, allowed developers access to Instagram hashtags again, however, there are several caveats.
You need to have both a Facebook Business Page (with Admin privileges), an Instagram Business account AND have both linked. Instructions here: https://www.slickremix.com/docs/link-instagram-account-to-facebook/You will need to complete the linking of your FB/IG business accounts. If you have already done these steps, be sure that you are currently logged into these accounts at the time of attaining an access token. Also, be sure that, in the Feed Them > Instagram Options and the Feed Them > Facebook Options, after generating a token, click the green ‘Save All Changes’ button each time.
Then, make sure all the fields are filled out how you prefer before clicking the green ‘Generate Shortcode’ button from the Feed Them > Settings page of your WordPress dashboard.Let me know how it goes,
Hi @mathlete76,
It’s possible that another plugin or theme is interfering. However, first try to deactivate your Feed Them Social plugin, then reactivate and try again.
If that doesn’t help, try deactivating all other plugins besides the Feed Them Social plugins temporarily. Then test to see if it works. If this works, try reactivating them, one by one, to see which one is causing the issue.
If deactivating all plugins doesn’t help the issue try switching themes to one of the default WordPress themes then look at the page (this can be done under the Appearance tab of your install). It’s possible the theme is causing errors.
Let me know how it goes.
Hi @mathlete76,
Make sure you are running the latest version of the Feed Them Social plugin(s).
Try Clearing the cache by clicking to Feed Them tab > Settings > Global Options > Clear cache
Then, make sure your Feed Them > Twitter Options are set how you need them. Be logged into the Twitter account you need to display. Click the ‘Login and get my Access Token’. Even if there’s an error, scroll to the bottom and click the green ‘Save All Changes’ button. Go to the Feed Them > Settings, generate a new shortcode and try again.

Hi @2lovehim,
Sorry for the trouble. Due to Facebook’s most recent API / Privacy Policy, you need to have admin privileges for each Facebook Business Page you wish to display. FB has recently eliminated developers from accessing personal pages & groups.
Try clearing the cache, then generating a new access token. Make sure you are logged into the FB account you are trying to access when generating the token, (as well as having admin privileges).
to clear the cache: from your WordPress dashboard, click the Feed Them tab > Settings > Global Options > Clear cache

Hi @sbanner26,
Instagram has been clamping down on the amount of “calls”. A quick fix used to be that if you ‘forced quit’ the app on your phone, once reopened it would get it back to normal. Not sure that this might still work, but easy and harmless, so possibly worth a try before moving on.
Let’s try this:
Try going to your instagram account and then click the settings gear icon so you see the popup of options.

Now click on the Authorized Apps option.
Once on the next page click Revoke Access under the Feed Them Social App.

Screen-Shot-2018-10-22-at-11-37-03-AM.png
Now go back to the Instagram Options page in our plugin and click the button to get a new access token.
Lastly, Try Clearing the cache by clicking to Feed Them tab > Settings > Global Options > Clear cache
Be sure to clear any other Caching plugins you may have installed also.

Hi @sbanner26,
We are looking into any recent changes regarding the Facebook/Instagram API.
For now, let’s try this:
From the Feed Them >Instagram Token page, scroll down and click the green ‘Save All Changes’ button on the bottom left.
Then go to the Feed Them> Settings page, under the “Create Shortcode” blue box, select “Instagram Feed” from the dropdown menu, then scroll down to the green “Generate Shortcode” box and click it. This should give you your shortcode.Let me know how it goes.
Hi @cjsohal,
I have created a new shortcode for your most recent playlist, which works and is at the bottom of this reply. You are free to use this, but you should follow the steps & fill out the protocols to ensure it works and updates properly going forward.
Step one is to make sure you are logged into YouTube, generate an API Key from the FEED THEM > YouTube Options page and then click the green ‘Save All Changes’ button at the bottom.
Then, got to the FEED THEM > Settings page, from the blue create shortcode, select YouTube Feed. Select the feed type, in your case Playlist, to add a playlist, the playlist ID and channel ID must be entered.
You can copy/paste the playlist URL of your choice and your channel ID from the URL on your YouTube homepage. I’ve gone to your homepage and copied the link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-bugrqQADKGjwuQMS5G0wA
Make sure all your parameters are how you want them, scroll to the bottom and click the green ‘create shortcode’ button. Then copy/paste the shortcode where you need it.[fts_youtube vid_count=4 large_vid=yes large_vid_title=no large_vid_description=no thumbs_play_in_iframe=yes vids_in_row=4 omit_first_thumbnail=no space_between_videos=1px force_columns=no maxres_thumbnail_images=yes thumbs_wrap_color=#000 wrap=none video_wrap_display=none comments_count=0 playlist_id=PLWkL6rVT189bDioffqrnpU9V9b2kxd1PO channel_id=UC-bugrqQADKGjwuQMS5G0wA ]

Hi @abdulamoud,
Instagram removed the hashtag option about a year ago (when Facebook took over the API). We are working with Facebook to restore the Instagram hashtag option. It is currently unavailable, however we do hope to be approved by Facebook soon and have the hashtag option back. No concrete timeframe, but hopefully within the next month.
That being said, you could set a Twitter hashtag feed (as the Twitter API is still active), but again, we are working hard to restore the Instagram hashtag option and hope to have it back very soon.
Best regards,
Hi @agpbrad,

Hi @agpbrad,
Just wanted to add that you might want to consider updating your PHP to at least php version 7.0 which will make everything run better & faster.
