My luck with sharing via Facebook is really hit or miss. Mine seems to be working again but somedays I just have to keep trying a few times til it gives me a thumbnail :-/

I had to refresh the caches but it does like they’re back up! Hopefully for good this time :-).

I’ll be testing out the sharing buttons over the next few days to see if those are still working properly too.

Amazing how much it bothered me to lose those likes lol, but it made my site look like a ghost town without them!

Hmm. I also emailed the official Share This page as well and will let you know of any updated info if it comes through there first. Hopefully we’ll have a fix soon :-/?

Let me also add that twitter and pinterest are broken as well.

And it seems the turnaround for backup is a lot faster than in previous weeks, so even better! Used to take me at least 10-12 minutes with a stalled message, but it just finished in about 5 minutes after the fix.

I’ve tried excluding plugins/using different compression files for my backup but doesn’t seem to make any difference :-/. Hopefully someone has a fix! Other than that I’m just not sure what to make of it. Perhaps Dropbox updated something on their end?

I was wondering why this issue continues to pop up after updates? I’m always hesitant to do the upgrades for this reason even though I know it’s best for security purposes. Just wondering if there’s anything I can do on my end before updating to avoid losing subscribers which happened to me in a prior update.

I use Backwpup and have the same issue. DIsabling database/object cache doesn’t seem to help, and backups just hang in limbo when uploading to dropbox. For now I just deactivate W3 while doing backups and reactivate when they’re complete. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I’m also having the same issue after the most recent update. Manually updating seems to be the only thing that works?

I tried doing that, but it didn’t make a difference :-(.

All that seems to work is disabling the W3 plugin.

Update:

I updated W3 Total Cache today and it looks like that caused the slow delay. Any idea on how to override that without having to deactivate the plugin when I want to do a back up? Never an issue before but seems it was the factor.

Although I’m still also curious about the Dropbox authentication issue as well.

FYI, I just deactivated W3 Cache plugin and it went through, so looks like there is something with that update conflicting with BackWpup….

And I tried creating a new Dropbox backup folder (that has helped with some uploading issues in the past) and it said couldn’t authenticate Dropbox token? Which is also weird because it is authenticated with my other job, and I still have plenty of available space through Dropbox.

I’m also having this issue. Really strange because I was using the old version and it was working fine.

But today after updating W3 total cache plugin, I got the stalling. So then I went ahead and updated BackWpup thinking that might actually help…but same issue persists.

And I excluded W3 from backup file but no change. Any idea what else I can uncheck to help it finish? Perhaps the W3 update has some bugs conflicting as well? Stumped :-/

I meant to say Google Image Search is where I’m having issues. Posts are showing up just fine in google web search.
