@geert – very. The XML feed works on my test site, so I’m not really sure what to tell you. Could you delete the plugin and reinstall it?
@chris – The first thing I noticed is the default.css isn’t loading, so the layout looks a bit odd. I would try deleting the plugin and reinstalling it. The latest update 0.372 should have fixed the layout issue, which I’m guessing is related to the cut off footer issues as well.
Hey Geert,
Can you give me the XML feed URL from your ArtistData Tools page? Thanks,
Slushman
Hey Geert,
Which version are you using? I just updated to 0.372 the other day to resolve this exact issue. If you’re not already using that version, update and try it again. If you are using the latest version, let me know.

Hey jorwesflow,
I had the same issue when i first tried it on my own site. The default layout CSS file isn’t loading, which was why I updated the plugin today instead of Saturday. I double checked the 0.371 download and it looks like one line didn’t get moved from my development files. Sorry about that. Give 0.372 a try, I just checked it and the correct file reference is in there.

Hey JM,
Unfortunately, that’s a server config issue. I’ve tried to figure out a way around this, but PHP safe mode has to be turned off in order to get the XML feed from ArtistData. If you can turn safe mode off yourself, I’d recommend it. Everything I’ve read says turning safe mode isn’t a major security risk, but I’ve heard that some hosts (like GoDaddy) have it turned on to protect their servers. I can try to find another way around the issue, but the way it works right now is the safest and most secure way out there that I’ve found.

Hey all,
Sorry for the late response, I hadn’t see these posts until late last week. I updated ADP to 0.371 and it’s available now. I know it gets rid of the XML feed error as well as the errors on the settings page too.
Thanks for your patience!
Slushmanhey sdquirk,
I just uploaded 0.371, try it out and let me know if it’s still giving you issues. If it’s still the PHP safe mode, I really would try talking to GoDaddy. They may have a server they could move you to that has safe mode turned off. I’m betting they do just to be cautious, but its really not needed. That, or I’d find another web host. I can recommend a few, if you’re interested. ??

It’s available now. ??
Hey Alex,
Sorry about. I’ll be issuing an update later today. Someone else already let me know about the issue and I’ve been working on the solution.

Hey sdquirk,
if you’re talking about the CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION issue, that’s a setting that will need to be changed on your server. If you can change it, turn off PHP safe mode. If you can’t make that change yourself, I’d contact your web host or server admin and ask them to turn it off. Unfortunately, that’s the only solution I’ve seen so far.

And you’ve downloaded the latest one, I made a small change and added it to the curent download. If it’s still doing it, then I’m afraid you’ll need to find a tutorial about turning off PHP safe mode or talk to your web host about it. Not sure how much more I can do from this end.
Arg! Ok, got that one, try it again. ??
Doh! I called the function incorrectly. Download the plugin again in about fifteen minutes or so, I fixed the call so it should work now.
Hey M,
I just uploaded an update to the plugin that fixes those minor bugs. Give it a shot and let me know if it doesn’t resolve it for you.
Slushman
Hey Jm,
I’m not sure how to go about that (it would be different for each person’s hosting setup, but I just uploaded the 0.36 update, which includes a function that may be a work-around for you. Give it a shot and let me know if it works for you.
