  • Hi,

First of all thanks for this great plugin. I was able to resolve this issue for my multilingual site so hopefully it might help others. I’m not a pro so if somehow this causes conflicts, please feel free to remove my comment!

    – Cookie category: As quoted by the dev in another thread, keep the original slug, in this case “necessary” (category name can be changed). This also seems to block the option to activate/deactivate necessary plugins.

    – Cookie: viewed_cookie_policy: make sure this cookie is labeled in the category linked to the slug “necessary”. This solved the popup from showing again and again.

For translation: Note I’m using Polylang and Polylang slug, which allows same slug for multiple languages (not sure if this works without the slug plugin).

When translating the first time using the + icons, slugs already in use will automatically be changed e.g. necessary -> necessary-2 (even with the slug plugin).
Once a translation has been made and you try to alter the slug via the + icon, you get an error that the tag cannot be updated.

The workaround I found is tedious but it worked:

    1) Go ahead and translate the categories using the + icon, thus linking the translations however ignoring the slugs.
    2) When done go to the Cookie category page and set the language (flags) that needs be changed (iso show all languages)
    3) Open the category that needs to be changed and set the slug to the original (e.g. necesarry-2 -> necessary). Somehow this resolves the error for identical tags.
    4) Repeat step 2) and 3) for every other language that needs changing.

    Hello,

Thanks for the suggestion. Wasn’t able to resolve the issue with height values but it was certainly worth the try. I’m sure I’ll get it working some day somehow. As far as I’m concerned you can close this ticket and consider me a very happy user!

    Best regards, Willem

    Hello malihu,

Thank you so much for the quick reply! Added the setting and successfully tested on Firefox desktop and Chrome mobile/desktop! Doesn’t work on IE but as it’s 2020 I don’t really mind.

Just one more question, would there be an easy option to set a different delay for mobile devices based on browser, as my top slider takes way longer to load on Firefox? I successfully tested it with a delay of 3000-3500 ms but it would be a petty to have such a delay on those that do work at 400 ms. If not I’m still really happy with the result!

Kind regards and keep safe! Willem

    made a mistake -sorry-

    Hello,

I would like to achieve exactly this. Unfortunately I cannot get this working. I tried several script plugins with negative result. Is there anything else that needs modifying apart from tabs_desc_xxxx-x? Any help would be appreciated as I really like the plugin!

Note: When I check the code online the following part identifies as error [href=”#’ +tabid + ‘”]
