In reply to: [WooCommerce] Compatability issues with Visual ComposerHello Mike,
As promised I am pleased to report that the problem has finally been resolved. I received a reply to my support request today
Thank you for being noticing us about eventually issues that our Trend theme may have. We have fixed the WordPress 4.5 version compatibility and updated the new Trend v.1.9.5 Thursday.
Please download the theme again from themeforest download section and update your theme from your admin.
Best regards!
Alice from Modeltheme.I am both pleased and relieved that my clients website is now fully functioning again, hopefully I will be able to get it live within the next few hours, which should please my client.
However I am not very pleased Modeltheme were aware of the problem but did not think to notify all users that there was an issue and that there was an update available. Normally an automatic update notice appears in your Admin Dashboard or you receive and email to say that there is an update available with a direct link to the download.
Mike I cannot thank you enough for your time support and certainly patience, it is gratefully appreciated
Take care my friend
Sincere regards Steve
PROBLEM SOLVED AT LAST

Please download the theme again from themeforest download section and update your theme from your admin.I am grateful for the update but somewhat disappointed and frustrated, considering it is not a free theme, the the theme developers did not have the decency to notify all those who had purchased the theme. After all support and updates are part of package.
My thanks to everyone who has endured my frustrations and rants and have taken the time to come forward and offer support. Its nice to know that there are people out there willing to help
Sincere regards

SteveThanks once again deeveedee,
My problem sadly isn’t resolved, however I am in communication with Mike Jolley who you will know is the Author of WooCommerce he is being very helpful in helping me to resolve this problem. As I have said to Mike I have gone through every avenue of process of elimination, the technical team at TMD Hosting have literally spent hours assisting me in trying to resolve this problem. Hopefully Mike will be able to resolve the problem, otherwise I will just quietly lock myself in a very dark room and throw away the key. Thanks again for all the help and support you and the other members of the forum have given freely

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Compatability issues with Visual ComposerHi Mike,
Envato technical support is totally useless I have been in contact with them and as previously experience got no help what so ever, they seem more keen on sending requests for feedback than anything else. I actually purchased the plugin and licence and had my hosting provider TMD Hosting to manually install it for me, at least that way I would have the latest version of Visual Composer. Unfortunately this did not resolve the problem much to my frustration.
I had the VC plugin installed after I had upgraded to WP 4.5 so I am getting the same problem regardless of whether WordPress 4.4.2 or 4.5. I have literally tried all avenues to trace the source of the problem, which has led me to WooCommerce, if I deactivate that all problems resolve on my site. The whole thing is sole destroying having worked literally months on getting the site to where it is today, literally ready for going live. I am at a loss apart from rebuilding the site again from scratch, which you can imagine I do not have the enthusiasm or inclination to do, nor will my client be prepared to wait.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Compatability issues with Visual ComposerHi Mike thinking that my problem was related to 4.5 I restored a previous backup which is 4.4.2 but the problem persists. I have therefore eliminated 4.5 as the offending culprit.
Mike I wouldn’t normally ask but is it possible that you could take a look at my site and see if you can see what the problem is. I am a very placid guy and takes an awful lot to stress me out, I am literally getting ready to bounce my laptop of the wall.
Many thanks for your time

In reply to: Latest Woocommerce update incompatible with Visual ComposerHi Marius,
I suspected this as the VC is integrated as part of the package and is licensed under a developer licence. So to be sure I had the latest version of the VC Plugin, I therefore purchased a licenced version of the plugin knowing I would be guaranteed to have the latest version. The problem remained. Therefore I still say it is the Woocommerce Plugin Update that is the cause of the problem.
I appreciate your help and advice
Many thanks
Thanks guys for all your prompt replies, I have discovered the problem to be the Woocommerce Plugin. disable that and everything works as it should. I was uptil 5.30am this morning working with the very supportive team at TMD Hosting Ltd. The worked tirelessly with me throughout the night. They refer to themselves as the “Genius Team”, they certainly live upto their name.
The problem came about as a result of WordPress update and Woocommerce latest update being released around the same time. So point and vent your frustrations with the WooCommerce Development Team
Hi Vladimir
Many thanks for your prompt reply and advice, unfortunately my knowledge of JavaScript is virtually none existent. I wouldnt like to risk corrupting my site. Frustrating as it is I am going to have to wait for WordPress developers to come up with an update patch.
I will just have to face my client tomorrow and hope he takes the news well
Many Thanks
Steve
Hello,
I have been building a large comprehensive site for a client of mine using the Trend Woocomerce them, which contains the “Visual Composer” as part of the inclusive package. I suddenly discovered that I was unable to use the both the Front and Backend function. I suspected that it may be the inclusive Visual Composer that had become corrupted so I purchased the fully licensed plugin and installed it thinking the update would resolve the problem. Unfortunately it didnt. I have a copy of wordpress on my home server that I use as a test site everything was working fine on there UNTIL i did the update to 4.5 and the problem appeared on that site. I have literally been tearing my hair out trying to resolve this problem, particularly as I had promised my client that his website would go live this weekend, that aint going to happen as I have been unable to put the final adjustments to the site.
If anyone else has had this problem please advise on any fix you have found.
