In reply to: Can't update to 4.2.2 Fatal Error memory size exhausted@billseylcis – Thanks for the support – at least there’s some response.
Manual update was also fine as some sort of workaround – will give your patch a try on weekend!@kmessinger – i think he does not need support, but he gave support to the ones not getting support here since months…

In reply to: Can't update to 4.2.2 Fatal Error memory size exhausteda short update – forgot to mention it before: disabling all plugins and switching to default 2015 theme did NOT solve the problem. so i’m really idealess… gave it a try with 4 GIG Ram, which is still not enough…

In reply to: Can't update to 4.2.2 Fatal Error memory size exhaustedSame problem here, trying to upgrade to 4.2.3.
in the meanwhile i’m at 1024M for MAX-Limit:
*snip from config.php*
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’ );
define( ‘WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘1024M’ );
**and it still gives me this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 1073741824 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /home/[…]/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 159while we can clearly see that 1024M = 1024*1024*1024 = 1073741824 – so the max_memory_limit is hit…
i wonder if 32768M will make it as a limit… where’s the error in wp…? i can not think that downloading and unpacking a .zip can eat that much memory?beside that problem backend worked with 256M Limit before, never tested if a lower limit would do it as well as that was my servers default limit.
so… any ideas…?
Thanks & Brgds, Martin.
i’ve just been using the 2 themes that came with 3.6.1 – so i’d say that could not be the problem.
But, interestingly, 2 days later, it just works – on the 1st site i’ve created on saturday morning. on the 2nd test site i’ve created on the same server (different subdomain) in the afternoon, it’s still broken.
so i doubt i can be any caching issue – also as i’ve cleared all browser data numerous times on saturday – but i also can not explain this behaviour which is not really trust-building..
anyway, will wait for another day…. *strange*
and a fresh install of the old version 3.6 does not help either.

In reply to: WordPress 3.6 – Cannot Switch From Visual Editor to Text Editorno solution, but i have the same problem – i can switch from visual to text editor once, but can not switch back. same for the add-media button – accepts clicks but nothing happens.
does your visual editor work…? mine does not work…
just descriped my problems here:

– disabling all plugins does not fix the problem either, as well as renaming the plugins-folder does not fix it.
